Panto

Following a terrible meal at Cast, it was wonderful to enjoy a fantastic panto. The theatre never disappoints with this seasonal treat. Well done, look forward to next year!

Saw duchess of malfi here and the production was fantastic. The theatre was bigger than I first thought from outside and it was difficult to find being from out of the city however once we found it we were pleasantly surprised by the bar and the stage. Only bad point however is that you can't take drinks into the theatre... More

I loved my visit here. We watched 1984 and was blown away by the production. Order your drinks for the interval to save time. The seating was comfortable and the place is a perfect temperature. I would highly recommend it.

We went on Boxing Day as we do most years. This is the 1st time we had been to the Panto at the Playhouse, which is a lovely venue. The Panto was very dreary with bad acting, singing and dancing. The jokes were few and far between and dated as were most of the songs. We have been going to... More

Dear Mark Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the show this year. I appreciate that everyone has their own opinion of what they saw. For balance, I have to say that every other review of the pantomime has been excellent and we are incredibly proud of the show. We try to get a good mix of songs, so we have... More

We have been going to this panto for over ten years, starting when our children were young. They are now teenagers but still love to go because it's so entertaining, witty, and energetic. It's suitable for very young children as it's very clean, so they can understand the jokes, but with lots of humour for older children and adults. The... More

I visit at least 3 times a year and always receive a warm welcome. There is a good variety of acts from serious drama, comedy, children's activities and of course the Pantomime! Prices are very reasonable for a city theatre and the attached bar/restaurant serves delicious food. Highly recommended!

Every year we go to the Nottingham Playhouse to enjoy the season’s pantomime and this year was no exception. You really have two choices in Nottingham – the grand Theatre Royal or the Playhouse. Both offer a very different kind of experience but, for me, the Playhouse wins. It is a beautiful place to go and enjoy entertainment, as it... More

This year's Nottingham Playhouse panto is brilliant. We really enjoyed the first night performance. The excellent cast includes some new faces and particular praise must go to King Rat (so eloquent but evil!), Tallulah the cat (very cat-like) and Jack (just made for panto - watch out John Elkington!) John as Sarah the cook was as always great. May have... More

We went to watch Dave Gorman in November and I couldn't remember if I had ever been there before. It's a small place however it made you feel like you were up close with the act. Nice place to go and watch shows etc so as venues go, this is a nice place. The reason it is not a 5... More
