Good traditional pantomime, with great sets and costumes, nice pleasant venue and good clean facilities
I've been to dozens of productions at the Playhouse over the years, and have never left feeling dissatisfied. The drama has always been stimulating, entertaining and well produced (including the pantomimes ), the dance and comedy well done and the special shows for younger children in the studio well thought out and very suitable for the age range they were... Been here a few times to see a plays/panto etc, good food in the bar and drinks . worth a visit as other attractions are near by too.
Nottingham would be lost without it! Love this theatre- the best in town! Always something interesting and thought provoking- the Bar is great, food too and most of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Wonderful to sit outside on a warm evening and watch the world go by. Parking is free after 6.p.m. and the venue is easily located being... More
Of course the show you see, will effect the way you feel about the Playhouse but I've been many times, seen good, bad and absolutely amazing shows. Beautiful place, great surroundings. Very comfortable ,and personal. If you want, tickets you can get them from the playhouse. You don't have to go through other agencies.
Amazing play start to finish ! my daughter is at the playhouse youth theatre and was involved with this production but far far better that we every thought it would be for the money we paid !!!👍😃
An exceptional production of a very relevant play Cleverly crafted by all the actors Lively and convincing Poignant and moving Three hours of life in the raw Faultless A must!
Went to see Of Mice and Men at the playhouse. Was a great show and the seats were amazing. However the halls were a bit narrow and got very crowded at the interval and some of the staff seemed quite bored and unenthusiastic - overall a pleasant afternoon
