When it is in Nottingham. The grounds themselves are immaculate but, to call this is a castle is like calling a Mini a Rolls Royce, neither come close! Take a walk below and stand by the statue of Robin Hood for a photo opportunity. Make a visit to the caves, but do not visit this place if you are looking... More

My family and I live a stone throw away from the castle and enjoy having a walk around the gardens on occasion. The gardens are always pristine and a pleasure to relax in. The museum is very good and interesting but as the saying goes "once you've done it you've done it" -- although I do know that special exhibits... More

All of the promotional literature is very carefully worded so as not to give away the castle's biggest secret.......there is no castle! After discovering that the castle had long since disappeared we were determined not to have... More

They neglect to tell you there is no castle till you get inside, there is a small museum that was mostly closed when we visited. Sadly disappointed.

Exploring Nottingham Castle is a fun way to learn about Nottingham's history, especially how the site was built, destroyed and rebuilt, and its various uses. The exhibitions and the caves are brilliant, and the views from the castle over the city are impressive, too. It's a great way to spend a few hours for visitors of all ages. Be sure... More

Visited here last year, there is a charge to get into the grounds.there isn't actually a castle but you do learn about the history of it. Museum is very good and you can get your photo taken as Robin hood or maid Marian.! There is a cafe on site that sells lovely cakes etc
