We are a small independent amateur theatre, located in the heart of Nottingham's historic Lace Market area. The Theatre is owned an operated by The Lace Market Theatre Trust Ltd., which is a registered charity. We have an enviable reputation for staging first class drama, offering productions that are rarely seen outside of London. The theatre is also available for private hire for functions and conferences, our prices are also very competitive.

This little theatre which is mainly run by amateurs is a must for all. But as a person who is hard of hearing seats in all parts of the house afford good sound. The acting is very often of the highest quality and the prices are very reasonable.

Despite living in Nottingham many years I have never been here. We went for a matinee performance. Charming cosy atmosphere. Really enjoyed the performance and excellent value.

This is a lovely little theatre, and like most of the amateur theatres in Nottinghamshire, the standard of productions is high. The current production 'For Services Rendered' isn't perhaps their best show with a few falters from the actors, but it is still an entertaining night out for a very reasonable price. Its great too that you can validate your... More

We came here as I was coming down to Nottingham on the Friday afternoon for a musical reunion / memorial concert at St Mary's church the following day. I happened upon it ( after much searching on line ) by accident having decided there was nothing at the bigger theatres that appealed, or was at the right time or price... More

The venue is fine. The performance neither entertained or informed, the only thing it made me think was 'what on earth was that about, what a waste of hard earned cash (ticket, petrol, car parking) and a waste of an hour and a half of my life'. At first I thought it was just me not 'getting it', but I... More

Interesting and attractive to walk around, as overall Nottingham is not that beautiful. Interesting historic buildings in this part of the city.

Reasonably priced tickets to see some great theatre from an independent company. Never fails to entertain. Lovely building tucked away in the centre of the city.
