Although the house was demolished in 1938, there are glimpses of its grand past to explore - from the Gothic-style chapel, often referred to as a 'cathedral in miniature', you can follow in the footsteps of dukes through the peaceful pleasure ground to the Walled Kitchen Garden, where you can experience sights, scents and a taste of the past.Today Clumber offers freedom to discover a ducal park and provides a haven for wildlife within an idyllic setting. With 3,800 acres of picturesque parkland and gardens, peaceful woodlands and a magnificent lake to enjoy there is plenty of space to explore and relax with your family and friends. Not only is Clumber's mosaic of habitats home to an amazing array of wildlife, it is also a great place to spot it.And there's much more to explore. « less

After paying the £6.50 entry fee and found a space to park there are plenty of of things to do bike hire, long walks, tea room or places to eat views to die for as you walk or bike round

There is extensive parkland that includes a deer park and lake with a tea room and café. There are many pleasant walks in the parkland and on the lakeside. The café serves some good food usually including a venison dish adjacent to the walled garden with pleasant views of the lake. There is an entry fee of £6 per car... More

Been here several times over the years; all enjoyable and this year was no exception. We have taken bikes in the past but this year we were on foot with the dog and had a brilliant day walking and exploring. Visited the walled garden which I loved and then later visited the church and waked around the lake. Cannot recommend... More

I am a regular to Clumber and National Trust member. Downside of todays visit Arrived at 2.15pm and went to the tea rooms by the walled garden, hoping to enjoy a nice cup of tea and cake prior to a visit to the walled garden. At 2.15 the tea room is closed, with a curt note advising you to visit... More

Lovely for a walk , relaxing views and the children love the fact that there are so many trees they can climb :-) Nice to see a more "challenging" play park too .

Had a day out a clumber park, very nice and plenty of space to walk your dog or have a BBQ, it cost £6.50 to park your car, which I think is a bit expensive because attractions in the grounds cost extra, but overall this is a nice place

This is an outdoor attraction (obviously - it's a park!). Due to really heavy rain we decided not to wander round as we didn't have much time to spend there anyway. We did eat in the cafe which was a bit disappointing - staff seemed a little disinterested which was a shame as the food was good. We will definitely... More

We stopped here to break a long journey and spent far longer than we had planned. Magnificent lake. Very popular and very very busy. Lots of cyclists (hire available). We walked one of the paths to the Walled Kitchen Garden which must be the best we've ever seen, so much to see. Saw the largest sunflower ever, and all kept... More

Wide open spaces and a very attractive place to visit. Great if you like rambling, biking or simply strolling through the forest, not much else to see. join the national trust to save money on these visits.
