We travelled up to play golf in both course. The two courses were well set up but wet due to the recent weather. After a dry spell they will be in superb condition. The rooms were clean and fine for our party. The food ok in the Claret Jug but breakfast was fab. A huge selection of hot and cold.... More

Took up an offer with groupon for 2 to play a round of golf with 100 range balls. The day was challenging enough even before teeing off!! A cold windy but sunny december morning lay ahead.Once the sun rose it did slightly warm up ,but not by much. The Preistman course was challenging, the layout has been well thought.Even with the groundstaff working... Great course that I would love to play in the summer.Winter conditions did not help the scoring.Lots of interesting holes if very long. Second is a dogleg and difficult.Ninth almost a par 5.Bring your best game and a few spare balls.

I dont normally review whilst still at a location, however , after my Spa experience , I decided to do so. The hotel is comfortable, the grounds and golf courses are stunning. It is very remote but if youre looking for an away from it all break, then its the place for you. The gym and pool are good with... More

Excellent course, fairways are like carpets even though we have had all this rain. The course was wet.

I took my family here for afternoon tea recently and we asked for it to be served in the conservatory. This did not cause a problem. The Hotel restaurants have excellent views over the golf course and one can wander around the grounds after walking off a hearty meal. There are many comfy rooms with leather sofas in which to... The Club house and hotel are very impressive with a very challenging course. Worth driving out of your way to make a day of it.

Not much of a golfer, but this place also caters for those who think a round is a wasted walk. A round of golf that is - the drinks are much more attractive and the service much slicker and cheerier than the nearby Lord Crewe. Worth a visit for a G ' n Tee and a nose around the nearby... More

There are two very intesting courses both of which will present a challenge to any type of golfer. With courses being at a height there are spectacular views across the country.
