What a great place! This converted rail station has a linear garden running through it and beyond, plus a woodland/lakeside walk. Head back to the old waiting room for excellent refreshments, cream teas, etc., and maybe buy some of the plants you saw in the garden.

This is an unusual place to eat, in part of an old railway station. The food is simple but wholesome, and while you wait for it there are dozens of books to browse through. The garden is worth a wander through as well

I noticed in their website the afternoon tea offer, paid for it and am still waiting for the voucher 3 months later. Several phone calls (messages only, the phone is never answered) and an email later and during that time they have called me once. Still no voucher though despite promises. Be wary of the offer... I'm now in the... More

I visited last Autumn with family and had a really pleasant trip. The location is lovely and the cafe itself is so cute; it's very quaint and quirky with lovely gardens too. I tried the caramel shortbread and it was delicious, tea was served in adorable china too. We went for a walk around the area after and it was... More

Loved the garden and old station waiting room, loads of old atmosphere. The afternoon tea was lovely, soup sandwiches and home make cake and pots of tea. Great.

The cake and tea was very poor quality and way over priced, but the place was quaint and lovely I am pleased I did not have a sandwich as it was way over priced at £5.25p cheese and chutney!!!! would I return NO.

I treat my father in law to a groupon offer for his birthday they had soup, sandwiches, cake and a cuppa and he and my mother in law assure me they had a lovely lunch, they both opted for homemade vegetable soup followed by cheese savoury and ham sandwiches both had cake and a pot of tea ( with the leaky cup... Booked via a Quidco deal. Picked date and time. Turned up and had soup, sandwiches, cake, cafitere. All homemade. It's quirky, the parkings tricky, the history is fascinating. Bottom line is its excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and efficient,it's all clean and tidy. Plus there was six other couples having the same meal, all were saying how much they liked... More
