That the interiors are almost as dramatic as the exterior says it all. This is very old world grandeur with a modern twist. Bask in the warmth of the reception you receive on arrival, dine at Hadrian's Brasserie, or at the Duke's Grill. Indulge with a vichy water spa treatment or just flop in the fantastic indoor pool. The great outdoors doesn’t get much greater. After a bracing country walk in the wilds, or round on our championship golf course, retire to the Claret Jug and the 19th Bar for a stiff brandy. Surely you deserve it ? « less

Like so many of the previous reviews we were met with a lovely welcome and our time table for the day was explained and we were shown the facilities. The changing rooms are way too small to accommodate the number of guests and everyone is bumping into each other and not enough bench space to set clothes etc on when... More

I have been wanting to have a spa day for a few months, and had heard great things about Slayley Hall, so booked it , and waited for the day to arrive. We arrived and were greated by very friendly staff, who couldnt have been more helpful. They showed us where to get changed, and explained the days events to... More

I've been on a few spa days and always really look forward to them. I hadn't visited Slaley before, despite it being on my doorstep, so when I saw a Living Social voucher I jumped at the chance. The setting is beautiful and we were greeted warmly by friendly and professional reception staff who gave us our robes, slippers and... More

We arrived at our Spa Day and we were greeted by lovely professional ladies on the desk, given our warm towels, robes and slippers and shown around. The Changing area was mainly communal (my mum may have preferred to have somewhere more private to change) and my gown was stained which was a little disappointing. The spa area its self... More

Spa needs updating and pool temperature is too low and the area isn't very relaxing - kids slide doesn't help!

Loved this spa, sipping champagne by the pool, it looks lovely and this is a very relaxing spa where you can sit and read a magazine.

Stayed here for one night. Staff at the reception were helpful and polite. We have stayed here a few times and have always had a good experience. We had a suite unique (Ladywell) which was nice and is situated in the main building. We had dinner in the Claret Jug which we like as eaten there before. The meal was... More

The prices are high, the portions of food are small for the money, Can't go on spec and just for 1 activity, you have to book the day and then you are sharing the spa with other classes. Would not recommend this place.

If there had been a Good rating button I would have chosen that rether that Average, but it was bellow Very Good so did not choose that button. Booked a Spa Day as part of my friends birthday celebrations. Always like visiting Slaley & was looking forward to a chill out relaxing day. We arrived around 10.30 am completed our... More

Shame they have to use the spa for swimming lessons as it makes it feel less exclusive. Would not feel it a relaxing experience with all kids in the pool. Unable to do a length of the pool for all the kids in there. I think children need to learn to swim but not in an exclusive hotel and spa.... More
