Not 100, not 500 but 1000 acres of Northumberland moorland and forest play home to this magnificent, elegant Edwardian mansion. That the interiors are almost as dramatic as the exterior says it all. This is very old world grandeur with a modern twist. Bask in the warmth of the reception you receive on arrival, dine at Hadrian's Brasserie, or at the Duke's Grill. Indulge with a vichy water spa treatment or just flop in the fantastic indoor pool. The great outdoors doesn’t get much greater. After a bracing country walk in the wilds, or round on our championship golf course, retire to the Claret Jug and the 19th Bar for a stiff brandy. Surely you deserve it ?

Perfect place for a break whether you enjoy golf or not. Weekend away with my husband found all the staff very welcoming and friendly. There were a couple of weddings there over the weekend but this did not interfere with the great service provided by the staff. Ate in Hadrians restaurant and the food was great waiter checked to see... More

Went there for a birthday treat with my wife using a living social offer. The changing rooms and spa is very tired and dirty. The jacuzzi was broken as was the sauna. That left only the pool and one steam room. The pool was full of small children with armbands. Not really what we had in mind. We complained and... More

The treatments were really good. Unfortunately everything else has gone down hill since it changed to Q hotels. Decided to have lunch in the spa area like we normally do when going for a spa day there as we normally really enjoy it. The most disappointing sandwich I have ever had. I decided to go for the tuna and spring... More

Went for a spa day that was terrible! They kept getting everything wrong, booked us in for wrong time, wrong treatments, our lunch was the wrong order and the pool area is very run down and nothing like it used to be. The treatments were lovely though and very relaxing! So we emailed to say we weren't happy and in... More

This review is for the Spa alone, the hotel is top notch. This spa has ripped and torn shower curtains in the women's changing area, lime scale and filthy showers and toilets, not enough lockers or beds for the amount of people they allow in, not very relaxing. The "juice" bar doesn't sell juice, the tuna sandwich I ate there... More

I t was my wife's birthday so I decided to book a spa day for us both, even though I'd never been on one before I thought I'd give it a go just for her as she has mentioned in the past that she wanted to do a spa day with me!! After searching all the spas, Slaley Hall came... More

My partner and I visited the spa today with a deal through living social. We both had a back massage and a facial -both treatments were great, very relaxing and would definitely have them again. After the treatments we went into the pool area, where there is the steam room, sauna etc. All was going well and we were feeling... More

Booked a Spa Day through TravelZoo with 2 mini treatments and afternoon tea. I picked a hot stone massage and facial, for only £65. My treatments were done by Emma who was lovely too. The hot stone massage was amazinggg, I didn't realise I had so much tension in my shoulders until after, so relaxing I almost fell asleep. The... More

First time staying here but will definitely be back! Me and my friend came for a relaxing spa break, and that it was! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the food was absolutely beautiful, the service was great and the room was lovely! The cocktails were a little overpriced but that's to be expected, and it didn't stop... More
