Our guide really brought everything to life on the tour. She was clearly so well informed about her subject and involved us all - including two very well behaved young boys!! Would recommend booking the tour, though there was plenty of easily accessible information if you are going round on your own. Café is really busy - good idea to... More

If you want to know how to exhibit an architectural masterpiece, let the Derngate Trust show you how it should be done. Nestled in a quiet terraced street, you are welcomed into No. 78 by Trust members and shown around the house in small groups. The staff are interesting and informative and take great pride in giving you lots of... More

This is a must visit if you are interested in design and architecture. The Trust are to be congratulated in achieving the fantastic renovation of this building. We had a tour around this superb museum and building today. The entry fee is not expensive and the rewards are more than worth it. The tickets are valid 12 months as well... More

The name of this attraction does not do justice to the range of exhibits inside. A terraced townhouse 5 minutes walk from the nearest car park, it offers attractions for those interested in art and design, local history and national wartime history. The exhibits are not extensive although one gallery was closed when we visited. Over four accessible floors, by... More

I had thought of visiting this place on numerous occasions especially as I am local butr time has never permitted me going. Last summer I made a special effort and was well rewarded with the experience as this terraced house is an absolute gem. The Trust has acquired the adjoining property which houses all the superb amenities - entrance, shop,... More

If you are a Rennie Mackintosh fan, you will know about and want to visit this place. If you're not - it's an interesting townhouse which looks amazing inside. Well worth a visit.

This building joins Art Nouveau with Art Deco and was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Confusingly he never visited this site but you MUST go to see his work in Glasgow. It was a fabulous insight into the way wealthy people lived 100 years ago. The staff were very welcoming and our tour guide was knowledgeable and excellent. They have... More

Lovely posh tea, including a bottle of bubbly. Expensive, but it was a very special occasion. Friendly and efficient staff. Will be making another visit.
