This is a great farm to visit, especially if you have very young children who may find a large open farm too much. The indoor and outdoor play areas are great, especially as they have a soft play area especially for young children. There is a lovely picnic area but if you don't take a picnic, the food in the... Visited Rookery Farm yesterday for the first time as a party of 2 adults and 2 young children (ages 2 & 3) and had a fabulous day out. It helped greatly that it was a sunny day enabling us all to pack a picnic and sit outside at one of the numerous picnic tables. There's plenty for young children to... More

Visited Rookery Open Farm today for the first time. It cost £6 for me and my daughter to get in and everything inside (other than food and drinks) was free. You can bring your own picnic to eat there but their own food and drinks were reasonably priced anyway. There is a large soft play area suitable for young ones... More

GF had organised a few hours to meet friends and their young daughter here. A few hours. Worked really well. I had brought my own children here 15 years earlier and it's been updated, great cafe and I door facility for tumbling about. Lots of animals to see and a large picnic area if you bring your own food (as... More

We went for the first time with our 2 year old grandson and had the most lovely day. It was a sunny day so we took a picnic and found plenty of tables and there were shady spots beneath trees. There were young goats to stroke, pigs, a horse, sheep, rabbits and guinea pigs to look at together with tractors... More

The actual place is great with lots of lovely animals and a great play area it was such a shame the staff let the place down. The staff working the shop were incredibly rude to both me and my friends on separate occasions. They don't sell milk for children as they may not have enough for coffee and tea- strange... More

Lovely afternoon out, daughter loved going into the pens with the goats, who were extremely tame. Nice picnic area with bouncy castles, swings and slides. Indoor play area great. Would highly recommend.

We were aware that Northampton schools had gone back from their Easter break so it was lovely and quiet. We came from Rugby, we had 3 children aged 8,10 and 12 and it was fab. The petting area was lovey, the walk round the farm, and then the indoor play area were all excellent. We'll worth the entry cost. The... More

Great place for younger kids. Plenty of outdoor play equipment. Two bouncy castles with unlimited use inc in price. Indoor soft play and lots of opportunity for interaction with livestock. Sometimes they have special events where there is opportunity to see other animals like snakes and tortoises. The food and drink is cheap and cheerful and you are welcome to... More
