I had not been here before , so didn't know what to expect. Both my husband and myself were amazed at the beautiful gardens, and grounds which continued on until they reached the open countryside. There were sufficient picnic benches placed all over. As it was bank holiday. There was a falconry display and a craft fair with a jazz... More

£11 for two of us to wonder round a couple of lawns with a few plants in the orangery (the building requires a bit of TLC). The best gardens there are sectioned off and marked private. We were done within the hour, seemed a bit of a waste of money.

as we only live a few miles away it is always nice to come back and see the early flowers and just to walk around the grounds. To hear the birds sing by the small lake and while away the time. Lovely

Beautiful place where you can spend a whole day there. It was well worth the money. Will definitely recommend this place!

We have visited Castle Ashby many times over the years, but this was our first time back there since the garden centre and tea shop opened. We went on Easter Monday and were surprised at the number of cars parked in the car park and over flow car park. We had to queue for about 10 minutes or so to... More

Visited with my fiancée last week, unfortunately on a drizzly bank holiday - however, the grounds in Spring were beautiful and we really enjoyed a casual stroll around the gardens, ducking into the orangery as the rain picked up a little. We popped into the cafe and enjoyed a coffee and slice of cake before leaving, but really enjoyed our... More

Unfortunately on the day we visited Castle Ashby gardens we were not allowed in because of high winds and the chance of falling branches. So another day maybe.

We live fairly near to Castle Ashby, and as tends to be the case did not really pay it too much attention. So on a pretty damp & dull day we decided to take a short trip to the stately attraction on our door step. Because of the dissapointing weather there were few trusty souls on parade that day,so we found... More

The area you drive into is reasonably large for parking which is next to a good sized cafe which has both inside and outside under cover seating, a small but adequate children's play area and a couple of gift shops. Quite quiet, the car park and children's play area are free but you will need to pay for access to... More
