We came here a few years back with my Great Nan. It was lovely to visit again to remember that day. All the blue bells are out and it was such a lovely view. Shame you are "not allowed" to sit out and eat in the woods but we did eat a sneaky sandwich on the way round cos the... More

There are many beautiful gardens to enjoy in Northamptonshire:Lamport, Cottesbrooke, Castle Ashby, Broughton House, Rockingham Castle, to name just a few etc. But for the sheer gem of a hidden treasure make your way to Northamptonshire . . . you should pay a visit to Coton Manor which opens from noon.Their gardens are set out like rooms and flow down... I've been to Coton Manor many times, and they look their best in mid-summer, although May with the bluebells in the woods is also a lovely sight to see. The place is well maintained, and although the entry fees are not cheap (they allow concessions), it is well worth a visit.

We drove quite far to find this place after researching places to find bluebells on the internet. We were quite shocked at the price it was to get in (if memory serves me correctly, it was about £8 each). There was no mention of an entry fee on their website at the time and as we thought we were just... More

Be sure to give yourself at least half a day. Lovely gardens, flamingos, woodland and a great cafe too. Garden centre and small shop. All worth a visit. Mind the road as you cross from the car park to the entrance!

If time only for one garden make it this one. This is a truly personal and liveable garden which delights at several levels.

We used to buy the season ticket for these gardens because we enjoyed visiting so much. Limited size compared to some gardens, but that's what we like about it, good variation on garden situations that you can relate to normal garden sizes. Unfortunately my wife died last year so I haven't been for a while, but if anywhere can rejuvenate... More

If you like visiting Gardens this is a good place to visit with. A variety of settings, plant sales, and a small Coffee shop. All centred around a beautiful old Manor House.

My wife is the gardener and she just loves it here. I on the other hand find visiting Coton interesting but no more interesting than a nice walk in a park or down by the riverside. You need to be big on plants to get the most out of the trip here. It costs a bit to get in and... More
