Tucked to the south west of the A14 junction with M6/M1, this is a lovely stop off either before or after negotiating these busy roads. An hour will suffice to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the gardens and views, and take in some refreshments. If you have more time, even better. Loos are clean and fresh, there is a... More

My wife and I have been visiting this garden four or five times each year for several years, and have attended the gardening school for a couple of very good presentations. Our repeated visits speak for themselves. Coton is never less than relaxing and renewing, always a mine of ideas to try in our own small garden. We travel the... More

Visited 8 September and have never seen a garden with so much colour and interest. Obviously a garden loved by it's owners and gardeners working there. A real garden for those interested in plants rather than the modern 'concept designs' of today. The nursery was well stocked with plants seen in the garden, many more unusual and less well known... My previous visit was 8 years ago and this one was even more delightful. Plenty of beautiful borders artfully arranged with perennials, roses, clematis to offer the most elegant colour palettes. One can only say it is a most charming garden. Assorted water elements add interest throughout and a fascinating collection of fowl accompany one around the lower levels. A... More

This must be our sixth visit to these delightful gardens and again we enjoyed it immensely and therefore nothing less than 5 stars. In late August the garden was full of colour and a lot to take your attention and lead you from one part of the garden to another. What is very obvious, and becomes apparent immediately on entering,... More

My wife has been wishing to visit here for some time and as the weather was good off we went. The gardens are easy to find using their directions, although you will not see 'official' signage until quite close to the location. There is an ample car park, and also facilities to drop off disabled guests at the door. Admission... More

Loved the gardens - very good time of year to go in spite of showers the day we visited - beautiful pink flamingos in the garden - what a surprise! Lovely food - reasonable priced but only stable or outdoor eating areas (ie - not very warm environment!)

A lovely surprise! Absolutely stunning gardens with water features, ducks, fowl, two beautiful flamingoes and a parrot against the background of a lovely old manor house. It was a delight to wander round and see the different borders, all in bloom in gorgeous contrasting colours. There is plenty of seating on the route but might be a bit difficult for... More

Despite the grey showery day, the visit to this beautiful garden was so lovely. Great variety of planting with such thought and creativity. The colours and textures were amazing. How wonderful to see the flamingoes and various other fowl. An extensive garden centre with lots of choice. Good lunch in the cafe, so nice to sit outside among the plants... More

We were staying in the area and decided to visit this garden and take a picnic as the forecast was good. We arrived 15 minutes before it opened and read a notice saying no picnics to be taken in the gardens. The best plans of mice etc. So we sat in the very nice car park on the grass under... More
