Cottesbrooke Hall and Gardens were recommended to us by family and we were not disappointed with our visit. The extensive park surrounding the Hall and gardens kept us entertained for nearly an hour before we took the tour of the Hall. What a delightful home and the numerous sporting paintings are among the best collection in the UK.

I visited here on a very wet bank Holiday Monday but in fact it made the stunning gardens more exquisite. Each turn of a corner brings another wow factor and the wildlife gardens must not be missed. The tour around the house was led by a lady who described what we were seeing with the expertise to say enough without... More

Visited Cottesbrooke Hall & Gardens on a beautiful sunny day last week, we arrived at 2pm when they opened and booked ourselves on the House tour for 2.30. We were really looking forward to seeing the sporting art having an interest in flat racing, however we were unable to view the art in depth as the tour was just 45... More

Having joined the HHA (free entry) three months ago my wife and I decided to visit Cottesbrooke on the way back home after having gone to Barkers shoe factory in Northampton and found it well worth the visit. We arrived and were given a ticket time to have the tour (approx 45 mins) so having 30 mins to wait we... More

Spent a very relaxing and lovely morning here in early June. The gardens are glorious. There is a small restaurant which serves lovely lunches, sandwiches, quiche etc. Nice little gift shop. Well worth a visit.

Visited in May 2014 on a Bank Holiday Monday, we were lucky with the weather which encouraged us to walk the gardens, which were lovely. I am not a great garden fan/expert but these were so welcoming, they were a delight to walk around exploring. And, as other people have said, don’t miss the wild garden. The house tour was... More

A most relaxing and tranquil stroll around beautifully laid out gardens. A garden with rooms all offering a different experience. The sun shone and really made the afternoon very special. The Hallbwas interesting too and worth a visit.

Just loved my visit to Cottesbrooke. Lovely building and is well known for being one of several houses attributed as the pattern for Jane Austen's "Mansfield Park". The house contains much excellent 18th century English and French furniture. Fine English,Continental and Chinese porcelain is displayed, particularly in the Dining Room, Drawing Room, Library and China Corridor. The Lodges and Bridges... More

We have visited this house and garden a couple of times in the past. Luckily we picked a lovely sunny day and the garden really looked fantastic. We did the house tour and the guide was very knowledgeable. The only downside was the cake portion was very small, it tasted nice but portion very small for the cost.

We spent a marvellous afternoon in these glorious gardens. We did not tour the house partly because it was such a beautiful sunny day and partly through lack of time. The gardens surpassed our expectations in particular the "wild garden" which was, in the end, the highlight of the trip- really varied and interesting planting. We were able to have a... More
