Great attraction for the weekends, lovely walks in the summer with friends and family. Well worth a look!

Only a short line but still a very evocative ride on a steam train which we thoroughly enjoyed. The catering was very acceptable and a very reasonable price. Our grandson particularly enjoyed talking to the two chaps who were running the model railway - he has one of his own and was inspired by their layout. The weather was abysmal... More

99.9 percent of the volunteers miserable as sin, showing little or no enthusiasm for their railway as I witnessed at over 100 others I have visited with my steam nerd of a partner. Put me off ever going back. Unfriendly unwelcoming and felt like they thought they were doing us a favor !

A lovely relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Have made many trips here, as our 3 year old loves trains. Needs a good tidy, and a little more to look at. Our last 2 visits have been spoiled by an opinionated ticket collector on the train, who on 2 seperate occasions clearly seemed to enjoy giving us a telling off.... More

I loved the friendliness of the people who run this, there is a small shop which is very well stocked with memoribilia and a small tearoom, there are quite a few trains being worked on by enthusiasts ,unfortunately we didn't get a trip on a train as there wasn't a crew available to drive the train, would like to go back.x

My family and I took my son (two) on the Santa express and had a wonderful morning. We saw the new model railway in the old signal box, which is a work in progress but he loved it, we then met Santa. We wanted in an old carriage which had a Christmas walkway all set up which eased his boredom... More

We have come down on mother's day to catch a train ride. I was very pleased when I have realised that the train will be running on Mothering Sunday and that we are able to try out this attraction. I have e-mailed the organiser a few times just to make sure the train is running and what time it was... More

It is very informal, and friendly, although not a very long track. Good for a relaxing afternoon, and very reasonably priced

You won't be going very far on this railway. The trains travel around 400 yards in each direction as one reviewer has already mentioned. Having said that, it's a bit of fun and the staff are all very keen and enthusiastic. The Brampton Halt pub next door (the old station master's house) is excellent.
