Absolutely a great way to follow up dinner. The guide gave our group a truly entertaining experiences with some of the ghost stories of York with a tour around town that you will not get anywhere else. The tour was about an hour and safe for kids (although a bit late for kids). The tour concluded with a photo opportunity... More

I've wanted to go on a ghost tour of York since last visiting York as a child in 1986. What I really wanted to go on was the Original Ghost Tour but decided on this one as it was slightly earlier in the evening and I had a long drive away from York that night. This one was a tour... More

Don't expect ghosts. Any of these tours are basically a dark history of the city you are touring. The guy who did our tour (who is the one pictured in the posters) was hilarious. Great guide. The tour was fun and lasted about an hour (7:30pm-8:30pm). You meet at the Shambles and end up only about 8 blocks away from... More

An excellent actor who provides an excellent atmosphere to the entire walk. Right from the minute he engages with the group you are laughing and doing exactly what he wants you to do. Although the stories he tells are sad, but entertaining, there isn't much substance to the tour but I would thoroughly recommend the experience.

We met at 7:30pm in the Shambles and were thoroughly entertained for almost an hour and a half. Don't want to give too much away as the suspense was half the enjoyment. Suffice to say that "Andy Dextrous" is a superb actor and if you'd like to do a "Ghost Hunt" this is the one to join.

From the moment the Ghost hunter turns up you can't help but to be impressed, he captivates you straight away and with his strong presence and powerful voice you get pulled into the atmosphere and the hunt begins. The hunter keeps the atmosphere alive with his stories and actions and tries to involve everyone somehow in the tale. He scares... More

This guy is a theatrical presenter of around 5 ghost stories in just over an hour. Taking a short walk around York we heard some of the famous ghost stories but it was his presentation, his amazing voice and look that kept you entertained, well worth a go at £5 for adults and £3 for kids.

A consummate actor (or else he may be a genuine ghost????). He makes you all relax, smile, laugh and even shiver just a bit--right from the first 30 seconds. Your attention won't wander--and heaven help anyone that tries to "tag along" without paying--they become the focus of the hilarity. We did walk past other Ghost Groups and they did not... More

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing parts of the city I had never seen before and hearing tales never heard. Very proffessional and very entertaining
