My partner and I decided it would be fun to do a ghost walk while on our trip to York! We said for a fiver it it's rubbish we don't mind. We arrived at the Golden Fleece and joined the waiting croud, shortly after we heard a bell and and man dressed all in black with a top hat emerged!... More

We went on this walk last night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There were only about 15 of us in the group. Not sure it would have been as enjoyable if the group was very very large like some of the reviews have said. It was very entertaining and the guide did a good job with the stories and jokes. For... If you're up for a joke or two (or plenty) that you will enjoy this. Otherwise it's a complete waste of time and money. 5 short 'funny' stories about ghosts and walking to random places which most had nothing to do with the stories. Ghost hunt? What ghost hunt?

This is great fun! Slick, professional street entertainment - meticulously scripted and performed with perfect poise and flawless comic timing. I love ghost walks - and after a recent chance encounter with The Original Ghost Walk of York I have been revisiting some old favourites. This one is always the same - and that's a good thing! The Ghost Hunt... More

My travel companions and I were booked in to the ghost hunt through Topdeck, a tour company. So none of us knew particularly what we were in for. From the first moment we saw Andy, we knew we were in for a treat. Walking towards us through a dark foggy alleyway, in full Victorian garb, ringing his bell. He is... More

It was a dark and windy night in The Shambles, in York. Suddenly the sound of a ringing hand bell came out of the darkness and a top hatted figure in a long black coat, carrying a Gladstone bag appeared, as if from nowhere. This was the start of the York Ghost Hunt, led by a suitably cadaverous guide. Because... More

We were visiting York for half term last week and as it was Halloween on the Friday night thought a Ghost walk would be fun... how wrong we were. Walk starts from the historic shambles which is aptly good name for this tour as it was a complete Shambles. We arrived early at 7.10pm for the 7.30pm start as we... More

Promised ourselves a ghost walk this year, and we were not disappointed. Not much scaring but an awful lot of laughing. My 10 year old thought it was brilliant and so did my mother. Felt like we were in a group of 100, despite this we could always hear and see. A great way to spend 90mins. Would recommend to... More

The Ghost Hunt is a great way to spend an hour or so! The guide was very very funny and his tales just right for the family audience!
