Ok so it was a few years back but I can honestly say this ghost walk was by far the best one I ever done. Not scary at all but an excellent 1hr20 of pure unadulterated comedy and street theatre from Andy Dextrus. Absolutely brilliant and laughed so much it hurt. Thank you for a great night.

We went on this tour with one hundred or so others, the guide did a good job of having his voice heard and being seen by the large crowd. The guide was entertaining but the ghost stories lacked detail and there wasn't very many of them. The tour is said to run for 75 minutes but that includes the 10... More

OK, there weren't many ghost stories, or even that much content about the history and society of York, but I still found the evening to be great entertainment. There are so many ghost walks to choose from in York that you can choose which one suits you best. This one is probably great for families with pre-teen children, as it... More

Don't join this tour expecting any kind of 'ghostly' elements and the £5 that you pay might just be worth it. The tour is basically a night time walk around the old town while listening to random stories about the past occupants of York. None of the stories or stops were particularly spooky and admittedly, I left the tour feeling... More

I must admit, I have been scared more watching the Simpsons Halloween shows, but if it's an hour of fun and absolute madness you want then this walk is fantastic. Great for kids and humiliation for adults what more do you want from a ghost walk? York itself is a genuinely daunting place at night so just go with the... More

Just brilliant start to finish. Funny, interesting and a brilliant night. We were in a group of about 60 but it did not even deter him. We still heard everything he said and he took us to some great locations. The best £5 I have ever spent. It was a better tour then the minster.. It is just that good!

Having done the ghost walk in Bath, I was very keen to do something similar in York and chose this one based on awards it has received and had a fantastic hour and a quarter as a result! As far as ghost stories are concerned, there weren't actually very many and the four or five we did hear hugely lacked... More

The weather was rather questionable after numerous downpours so it was very tempting to go back to hotel. However, very glad we didn't. This was great fun & the guide was very good indeed with great humour. Very family friendly & he always made sure the kids were at the front so they could see. The time flew by &... More

If you go to York you have to do this Ghost Hunt, it was absolutely fab! Only £5 which is fantastic and it was so funny. The guy who does the tour (Andy) was a brilliant host. I couldn't recommend this enough. Thank you Andy for a wonderful evening :)

Waited in a large group at the shambles 19:30, the streets were quiet and this tall figure appeared from the dark complete with Gladstone bag (and step ladder!)......dead ringer for Whitechapel's gentleman jack. For the next hour we were regaled with ghost stories, history and witty humour (watch out if he picks on you!)......great fun! Andy, the guide not only... More
