We really like this pub and have visited several times, but today I had to comment on how poor the service was! The guy serving was far more interested in whatever 'hilarious' thing he was watching on a laptop/tablet! We really did feel we were interrupting his leisure time!! Great pint though!!

This is a great place in the centre of York both for a quick drink or a lunchtime meal. Nothing pretentious, just a good, honest no frills establishment. The meal deals are particularly good value with a main course and a beer or two for not a lot. It can be quite busy but the staff are efficient and the... More

Coming from Switzerland where dogs are allowed in almost every restaurant we found it difficult to find a nice places to eat in UK. After turned down at more than 10 places we found this pub where we all 3 got welcomed very friendly. We ate very well, especially the steak ale pie was delicious. Thank you for letting us... More

If you happen to find yourself in York, and you want a couple of pints of exceptionally well-kept ale, and a nourishing plateful of good food, then here is the place for you. Popular with regulars and visitors alike, it's a well-run ship with staff who are friendly and knowledgeable. CAMRA members will get a small discount on a pint,... More

I visit the last drop inn whenever I go to York because it serves great bangers and mash and has well kept York ales. My home town of Sunderland is awash with good pubs spoiled by selfish families who wish to inflict their annoying kids on paying adults, a pub is an adult environment of you want to see kids... More

Our two day trip to York consisted of a few stops at recommended pubs and restaurants, but without doubt, the best experience was at The Last Drop Inn. We were warmly greeted and well looked after during the couple of hours we spent there. A great selection of food and drinks at normal prices, attentive staff and some very useful... More

After reading the past 2 reviews, I can say that I would ignore them and not take notice. I went to The Last Drop a few weeks back as I noticed they allow dogs in and I was out walking mine. The landlord and staff working couldn't have been more pleasant and chatted away like I was a regular. You... More

This is the worst pub in York. They sell food, my family walked in and were confronted by staff who said he was allergic to children. He suggested we go to the pub opposite who allow children on their premises. One other point they allow dogs entry give them water but no children. We ended up in a very nice bar close by... More

Visited this place on a night out with some friends who wanted to watch a band playing. There were four of us in our party, 3 guys and a girl. We are all professionals. Ordered drinks and were stood at the bar just chatting and catching up. I will point out here that none of us were drunk, I myself... More
