The staff are friendly, welcoming and what's more, they really know about real ale and are on hand to advise you in your choice of drink. Great location, interesting characters and unique regulars make this an excellent place for people watching. Our pub policy is NO jukeboxes, gaming machines or children, so you can relax and enjoy your drinks in peace and quiet.

A York Brewery pub that also sells independent beers. The service is friendly and the prices very reasonable for city centre. I recommend the fish finger sandwich, which was lovely. It comes with salad, coleslaw and golden, done to perfection potato wedges.

Beer is top notch good music on from the band and discount food and drink for camra members. Hard to beat a place like this.

I happened upon The Last Drop Inn while trying to escape a heavy downpour on a wet Wednesday lunchtime in York. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming, they had a great selection of beers and ales and the food was very good too. Would highly recommend to anyone else looking for somewhere to have a quiet pint or a... More

Travel up to York at least once a week. I have to say that it is a favourite for tasty food and good selection of Ales. I have made my way through the menu a few times now, the lasagne (meat and yes, the veg option is delicious), the sausage casserole is heavenly and then there is the steak n... More

Called in to this local watering hole yesterday really just looking for somewhere to get out of the rain and have a quiet tea time pint.. ABSOLUTELY lovely pint, very friendly atmosphere, and a barman that knew his stuff. If a Camra member comes in and flashes his membership card you can be sure of a good pint.

Great atmospheric over 18s only pub right in the heart of York. Good choice of York Breweries beers, all of which are delicious, Ghost being my fave. Good food offers including sausage and mash with a pint for £7.95-bargain. Well worth dropping inn

We stumbled across the Last Drop at around 8.30pm one night looking for something light to eat and opted for the tasty looking wraps with Leeds brewery chips. Having taken our order, the bar tender came over to explain that he shouldn't have taken our order as the sandwiches and wraps stopped earlier on. We then decided that we would... More

Eight of us ate here after the Grand National. We ordered just before food service ended at 5pm. Food arrived promptly & the service was very friendly and attentive; the staff asking several times if the food was ok & if there was anything extra we needed. There was a mixture of bangers mash & peas with a pint, ploughmans... More

Visited twice here this week . Lunch on Tuesday had tuna sandwich and Turkey without the spicy dip as My wife had a sore mouth . The chef seems brilliant and this is the first time we have eaten here but won't be our last . Love the Centurion Ghost Ale . Very atmospheric obviously old . Seating really interesting... More

Best pub in York. No piped music and no children allowed.Great real ales, good lunch food, try the sausage and mash, then go and buy the same sausages from the York Sausage Company shop at the top of the Shambles.
