We visited at lunchtime. We sat at the table near the window. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We started with drinks. I opted for a shandy whilst the OH had a coconut stout. They do a 10% discount for CAMRA members off food and drink. They have a range of sausage they display on the board in addition to... More

We can thoroughly recommend their theme nights - fantastic value for inside the city walls. Short walk from Bootham car park. Ian

Pub was cold, staff not very welcoming and cleanliness and atmosphere left a lot to be desired. Saving grace range of drinks available.

We were shopping in York at the outstanding Christmas Market during the 3rd week of November, my wife and daughter were both getting a little "peckish" in the early afternoon so we decide we should have lunch, however, daughter's little dog "Esme" was also with us and we weren't sure where we should go that would accept dogs. The first... More

One of the York brewery pubs. Wonderful real ales in character filled surroundings. I tried a guest ale called Mostly Ghostly which had a wonderful chili kick. The brewery pubs are always worth a visit.

This is a York Brewery pub and it is superb. Not flash. Just great service, great beers, try a half of the Chilli beer, good value food...and had to laugh, mini vibrators and glow in the dark condoms in the Gents loo! No, we didnt buy any.... Music some nights too.... Perfect..

Good selection of other pub grub, and a sandwich & pint deal which is good value. Definitely my kind of pub, ales & food made a very pleasant... More
