On visit to York stopped off for quick beer as liked the sound of some real ale. What a find!! Unpretentious and no hen do's as seem to be everywhere tonight. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Beer was splendid. All finished off with the live band Beggers Bunce which had us all singing along. Great first night of our stay... More

I stopped here for a pint of York Brewery beer, which runs this pub. I had taken the brewery tour the day before and wanted to try their beer again. They had a good selection of their beers and others. It is an informal place with a small smoking area in the back. It was a good place for York... More

If we are in York we try for this pub. It's a traditional no frills pub with an unpretentious atmosphere with friendly staff that know their beer. The food is wholesome pub grub. The 3 sausage, mash & peas for £7.95 with a free pint is excellent value. The beer is from the local York Brewery plus guest beers which... More

Always excellent service, without exception. A great selection of York Breweries finest, adequate seating, with quirky large barrels for tables and a varied selection of live entertainment! We saw The Beggars Bunce there and the atmosphere was amazing, there were even crowds outside! Well worth a visit!

Try all the beers on tap, in a box of 4 halves. Friendly staff, nice for a quiet drink, reasonably priced

Everytime I go to York, I like to visit different real ale pubs. I decided to take my family here as we saw the food menu which was very reasonable priced. However, it was not a busy day and it took over 40 minutes for our food to arrive. They were only sandwiches! If it was busy I could understand... More

A York Brewery pub that also sells independent beers. The service is friendly and the prices very reasonable for a city centre pub. We visited first on a Tuesday night & they had live music from a duo going by the name of 2Bob who were very good & would recommend them. We saw that they had a quiz night... More

Staff always friendly, selection of fine ales extensive and right in the heart of the city. Never eaten here but always enjoy The Last Drop when it for a night with friends.

A York Brewery pub that also sells independent beers. The service is friendly and the prices very reasonable for city centre. I recommend the fish finger sandwich, which was lovely. It comes with salad, coleslaw and golden, done to perfection potato wedges.
