The station is incredibly massive and also has a good selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. The train staff are always happy to help you no matter what

Good train station, got around fine and encountered no problems while I was there. Nice, easy travelling!

My partner is a huge train buff and loved York Station. We traveled to and from York Station with little or to no complaints. Was happy to wait for our trains taking in the beautiful architecture.

York station is lovely - those Victorians knew how to build with impact! A lovely destination in its own right - and still a very busy transport hub.

Passing through here twice a day always nice. I don't see it as an attraction but it's certainly nicer than Doncaster station and it great Victorian engineering! People seem to forget how to look however or stand at the entrance to every possible usable route. Quite annoying! Also the shops are captive market expensive. Nearly £2.00 for water! I think... I really cannot count the number of times I have passed through York railway station on journeys either heading north or south, or changed trains at the station for destinations such as Hull or Harrowgate, or got off because we were staying at York for a few days. On the most recent occasion in December 2014 we had a bit... More

York station is large and impressive, dating from the nineteenth century with accompanying 'grand' style. It is an extremely busy station lying at the junction of some of the country's main railway lines. Staff on the platforms and in the information office ard very helpful as many passengers have to change platforms and trains here. It is a relatively easy... More

Went to York today, which remains one of the great cities, with some terrific shops and a great welcome, not to mention an atmospheric and beautiful railway station. But ... first class on East Coast was beyond disappointing. K carriage on the 7.20 from Stevenage was cold, the loo out of order, the one to carriage L locked. The breakfast... More

A great station and an even better location right in the city centre. The architecture of the station is great and do look up to the roof. Lots of places to eat and drink at the station whilst you are waiting for a train or just killing time.
