Abbey ruins are among the most picturesque and interesting sights in Britain. They are both beautiful and thought-provoking. What would life have been like if....? St. Mary's Abbey is not among the best--much of it is gone. And there is no wonderful guide full of information such as that at Fountains Abbey. But if this is your only chance at... more
