Well kept gardens with a variety of arrangements. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. Lots of wildlife including birds squirrels etc. Very busy with both visitors and locals alike. Lots of photographic opportunities in well presented landscaped gardens and ruins of the old Abbey too.

A good place for a picnic or to just chill with family and friends. It is a gem close to the centre of York. The Yorkshire museum with its ever changing exhibitions is also within the Museum Gardens

Relax in the sun surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. Watch the squirrels and pigeons who will take food from your hand. Taste the delicious ice cream for sale by the gates. Visit the attractions within the gardens.

Lovely gardens, lots of grass to sit on. Plenty of shade and a museum can be visited. A short walk across the grounds takes you to the river Ouse.

After all that walking, take breaks by going in the Gardens. Just beyond the entrance they have an ice cream stand, then the birds of prey you can have your picture taken with for a fee. The York museum is located in this area. Best of all is the well kept, beautiful, relaxing green grasses, flowers, benches and beauty. Mixed... More
