Ilike the place: nice and beautiful. It was sunny and it was really crowded. you also can visit the ruins of the church.

They're free, they home a wonderful historic multi-use venue, as well as ancient ruins and the exciting Museum. The grounds are teeming with squirrels (yes I know they're greys, and technically they are vermin - but they are so cute :) )

Walking through this garden is a beautiful dream with squirrels who will come to you if you hold out nuts. I have a few wonderful videos to prove it. St Mary's Abbey is in this gardens as well as the Yorkshire Museum. Walking around the garden is refreshing and relaxing.

Lovely place in Summer to sit on the grass with your sandwich and icecream, away from the bustle of the streets.

Now featuring a new restaurant in its grounds this is a site for gun salutes for royal birthdays and special occasions and is often the setting for events. Don't miss the Hospitium in the grounds and the lower end which opens out onto the riverside. Well worth a visit especially in drier weather and when fine. Very close to all... More
