Haunted House - Best thing about this was the store at the entry, even if over-priced. Some of the stained glass was nice, so was the structure/wood work and some of the furnishings - we had to use the flashlight on our phones to see most of the good things about this attraction. Rest was very hokey and not worth... More

We visited this fantastic little shop and haunted experience earlier in 2014. The supply of wiccan and other items was a nice addition and as we browsed we decided that perhaps we should brave the haunted house it's self. The price was not so bad for the students I was with, but I paid the full price. On entering the... More

I've visited this house twice. It is so atmospheric and interesting both historically and supernaturally. The first time my husband and I loved it and really enjoyed the experience without encountering anything paranormal. The second time was a couple of years later when we took friends to see it. We all enjoyed it again but this time my husband had... More

I'll start by saying i am one of the biggest sceptics out there nothing scares me and i don't believe in ghosts. But on entering the house in the first room ,which i might add is well lit up and not at all scary , i suddenly started to feel very strange, felt sick ,light headed and generally not feeling... I loved it here despite being scared. The way it's done is brilliant. You look around it in your group and each time you enter a room a speaker tells you about the history etc. Would definately visit again.

Went to this as part of the York Pass system - very different and very enjoyable. It is closing sometime in August and that is a bit of a shame.

I visited the house with two friends - all three of us have mediumistic abilities. We could feel energies in many parts of the house and one of us "saw" several figures. The seance room was amazing, one of us took photos and in the brief time that the flash was lit before the photo we could see streaks of... More

I entered not because I believed it was haunted but because I was interested in its 700 year history. I enjoyed exploring the first few rooms and imagining life in days gone by. However that all changed in the upstairs attic room. I did not see or hear anything but I suddenly felt like I was going to be sick... More

First of all I would just like to say that although this house doesn't have the flair and feel of The York Dungeon it was still worth while going to see. I was devastated to hear that The Haunted will be closing in a few weeks and it's future is uncertain! I would like to say to the new owners... More

I am a Sceptic but am very open to there being 'something out there' and i accept that people may have experienced things here. the whole thing lasts about 15 - 20 mins and the whole thing consists of walking around an old house listening to an audio of a story of a girl who used to live there. (not... More
