Description: The Ghostwalk was established before 1973 and was an original creation...
The Ghostwalk was established before 1973 and was an original creation believed to be the first in the world. We promise a unique opportunity to discover the hidden magic of our ancient City through the real art of storytelling. Tales are drawn from the immense history of York and are told against a backdrop of haunting beauty. We walk in the very footsteps of those who have passed before.

Interesting! (full of facts and urban legends)

The guide was fantastic. Friendly, informative yet not preaching. Told stories which left you to decide if there is such a thing as ghosts or not!

Our tour guide was called Christian Newton, he was fantastic! He greeted us extremely polity and was very kind to everyone. He didn't try and force the stories on you to make you feel like you had to believe everything he said. He simply told you the stories (very well) and left you at a cliff hanger to believe and... We did the Original Ghost Walk on Saturday and the best I can say is that it was OK. We have done ghost tours in other cities which were better.

We arrived around 5 minutes early, just as it started to snow! It was just us and another couple, around 5 past as we were walking away we saw the guide emerge from the pub with a few others and the tour started! The guy talking the tour was a really nice guy and told the stories well and was... More

Excellent ghost walk, really informative and interesting and amusing. Superb guide who held everyone's interest for the whole time and told great stories. Suitable for adults and kids alike. Good value for money (£5 per adult, £3 per child).

Ray was very good. He is a real gentleman who was prompt and extremely knowledgeable about the history of York. His stories are delivered well and captivated the small group (12). The tour lasts about 75 mins and at £5.00 is good value.
