Description: The Ghostwalk was established before 1973 and was an original creation...
The Ghostwalk was established before 1973 and was an original creation believed to be the first in the world. We promise a unique opportunity to discover the hidden magic of our ancient City through the real art of storytelling. Tales are drawn from the immense history of York and are told against a backdrop of haunting beauty. We walk in the very footsteps of those who have passed before.

We did this tour with our 7 and 12 year old children. I would recommend it as Mark, the story teller, had plenty of informative stories with just about the right amount of scariness! Had us all gripped!

I have just done the walk this evening and it was fantastic, the host was very, very knowledgeable and really drew in the crowd, would highly recommend to anyone with teens or older children, we then went to la piazza restaurant afterwards, and again fantastic, would definitely go again for a varying tour.

Our tour guide was a very witty, charismatic man with exceptional story telling skills. Even managed to put a chill down my exceptionally scepticle spine

Did this walk this week with 2 grand daughters aged 15 & 14, although we did not see anything scary he is a very good teller of tales and keeps you interested for the full 90 minutes walk. The time goes really fast and would have liked more. Cost was £3 for the girls and £3 for seniors.

We originally tried a different tour starting near Jorvik but when my son and I realised we'd be the only ones we joined this one instead. Starts by a great little pub with cheap-as-chips beer (good start) and is excellent value at only £5 per adult. Yes, I agree with some other reviews that he is a bit corny, but... More

I couldn't recommend this tour more. It is reasonably priced, is extremely interesting, and guarantees a fun evening. The tour lasts only just over an hour, yet you learn so much and hear some well delivered stories which want you coming back for more. I'll admit this was the first Ghost Tour I have been on, but I found the... More

While you may not see any ghosts the gent who took us on the tour had you gripped with tales of old, history, and ghosts. Was real good fun, going to take my mother on it in November. Are tour even had several defectors from other less good ghost walks, which was funny.

It was really corny and I would go on a different tour the next time. Maybe they are all the same but I wasn't too impressed
