We visited this park after seeing other reviews on trip advisor and were very impressed. The park was clean with plenty of seating and beautiful views over Whitby. The children's play area is definitely a must if you have little ones and we'll be bringing ours with us next time.

The museum has got it all! Great gallery on local artists paintings from Whitby, Staithes etc . Museum is a real mixed bag of great stuff, from local fossils and carved jet to items collected around the world by travellers. Love the diarama in giant light house bulbs! How did he do it,these could do with being lit better as... More

Considering the size of the town, Whitby is lucky to have such a lovely facility. Although local government cuts have resulted in significant reductions in park maintenance, Scarborough BC have managed to keep Plannett Park in excellent condition. The keen gardener will happily spend a couple of hours appreciating the wide range of plants. The Museum is also situated in... More

I first went to this park when I was 10. I remember all the new, modern and colourful equipment which was in the playground. this park is great for people to go for a walk and take their dogs out for a run. however the park is on a hill so it is not suitable for some elderly people.

It's in a less busy part of Whitby and an interesting story how the park came about, as informed from one of the boards in the park. Although it was winter and therefore not a lot of colour it's well laid out with various different sections to it joined by good paths. It includes a children's play area. Worth a... More

Lovely Park with a Lilly Pond.. well worth a walk through on the way down to Whitby town centre, have a look at the floral clock and there are a few information boards.
