Really good fun..our guide Harry was superb..dressed in a fine black tailcoat and top hat..he set the scene..met at the Whale Bones at 7.30pm and finished at The Royal Hotel around 8.45pm..he took us through the streets and filled us with a little bit of magic..as he said..some is fact and some is fiction and it was up to ourselves... We really enjoyed the In Search of Dracula walk. It was a good mix of fact and fiction and helped to answer some of the questions we had about how Bram Stoker's story of Dracula came about. The tour was pitched at the right level as there were some younger children around 8+ on the walk so it wasn't too... More

The first thing to point out, as others have done, is this is NOT a ghost walk. It is about how Bram Stoker came to Whitby and was inspired to write Dracula. There are some elements of 'spook' but that is secondary. The walk itself is not particularly long, but , being Whitby, its up and down hill. You will... More

Went on the evening ghost tour from the whale bones which starts at 7:30pm, We didn't have Harry, instead we had Lovely Claire, who was an incredible story teller which gave Whitby a terrifying back story, much to mine and my girlfriends delight, she made us all feel welcome and included everyone on the tour 10/10. unfortunately there were some... Having just attempted this walk, we feel the need to warn people considering this 'experience' to only pay their hard earned money if they want to watch a sarcastic old man get too familiar with young girls on the walk, not be able to hear all that's said and learn very little about Dracula as he spoke too quietly and... Arrived in Whitby having wanted to do the walking Dracula tour for some time. After reading previous reviews was even more excited, even dismissing the bad ones... Disappointed to have called the number on the website only to be told the tour was 'not on' the gentleman 'wasn't sure when it would be on again' and no apology or thanks... More

I decided to end my Easter Monday with an In Search Of Dracula walk. The walk started at 8pm and there was a good crowd of us from the very young to the much older. On the chiming of the clock bell, our guide, Harry, set off and took us on a tour of the west side of Whitby that... More

Harry is a master storyteller with a hint of the theatrical on this enthralling, educational & fabulously family friendly walk. Well worth an hour of anybodys time.

We arrived at 7-45 pm and waited till 8-30pm with a group of other tourists and nobody arrived. I understand that people... More
