I live in Liverpool and had booked a trip to the Yorkshire Dales from Friday 19th December-Monday 21st December and booked Bird of Prey Half Day Experiences for myself and Fiancee (£65) for the Saturday morning. I booked over the phone well in advance and was told that if the weather was bad and the birds could not fly, I... More

Went to have the half-day experience as a birthday present for my daughter. Took her friend as well and they had a superb morning in the company of David and Jack and various owls, eagles and vultures who they were educated about, and then were able to handle and fly them. The birds have a variety of interesting personalities and... More

We had a fantastic day here. Firstly just us 2 adults who enjoyed the visit so much that we went back 2 days later with my 12 year old and her friend. We also booked the family owl experience which was amazing. We handled 2 owls and 2 eagles. We weren't rushed at all and learnt so much. Kieran, the... More

We had a great time. Excellent collection of birds of prey and really enthusiastic staff. They were were very knowledgeable about all the birds and had a real talent in getting the information across. The birds all had their own characters! The cafe served excellent food at a very reasonable price.Staff very friendly and welcoming. Will certainly re-visted and have an... More

Had a really brilliant day, great experience to get up close to the birds and handlers were friendly and knowledgeable. Lovely cups of tea and thoroughly enjoyed Lamb Hotpot and Cheese and Broccoli Bake. Would recommend this to friends.

Arrive at least 30 minutes before one of the scheduled flying times to give yourself time to look at the birds not flying. The go and listen and watch as your falconer flies the birds around and over you. If you get a chance put a glove on and have a bird land on your arm feed and then fly... More

A lovely afternoon spent watching 2 of the 3 displays available. The birds each had their own personalities and the local crow even joined in the show. The birds got close but were always under the control of the staff. A word of warning , use the brown signs as the sat nav can sent you a little wrong.

Had a great day here today, lots of interesting birds to see and the free flying demonstrations were very good. Got to see a variety of birds close up and demonstrating their talents. The two falconers who did the displays were very friendly and had lots of knowledge to pass on about the birds, they were really passionate about them.... More

I last visited this centre about 20 years ago, when they had a HUGE Condor. Unsurprisingly this is no longer there. However, there were enough other varieties of Raptors there, to keep my wife & I, plus our 8 year old daughter, entertained. The staff were all pleasant, and willing to answer any questions that were put to them. The... More

It was absolutely brilliant. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. A wide range of birds and the shows were fun. Shaking an owl's beak is definitely a memory to treasure. The kids loved the play park and the tea shop is a gem.
