It was a wet day ("dreich") for Scots readers, but not too wet for the birds to be flown. At 12 noon, We saw a Bateleur eagle and then a buzzard fly and actually had the letter land on our (gloved) hands. The bird handlers were informative, funny and clearly devoted to their birds. After a comic performance from an... More

We visited the centre for a full day course as a birthday treat for me. Arrived early, place looked deserted and didn't see anyone until gone 10.00am. Once inside we met the 2 staff who were going to be looking after us for the day and they were brilliant, had a good chat with them and they were very friendly.... More

Booked this for my husbands birthday, telling the person we booked with that we were renting a cottage in the area and giving her a mobile number as well as our home landline in case they needed to contact us. Of course they didn't ring the mobile, so we didn't know the course was cancelled until we turned up, leaving... More

My husband and I attended the 2pm display which was both interesting and informative. It was lovely to be so close to the different birds and the display was very entertaining. We went back to the same location for the 3:30pm display and waited for it to begin. Nobody told us that we were waiting in the wrong place before... More

We visited and enjoyed the visit. The young man doing the display had a real rapport with the birds - first he flew Wesley the vulture, a mean-looking creature with a six-foot wing span! it was both fascinating and frightening to watch him. Next was Woody a lovely little owl and then Barney a beautiful barn-owl. The birds were obviously... More

One gets the chance to view a variety of birds and learn so much about the ways they live, breed and interact with others. The flying birds are delightful, and the seating is set in lovely surroundings just a couple of miles out of Settle, on the A65. There is a good café too, a small shop and a large... More

Got up close to the birds. Knowledgable bird handlers. Friendly and they made it interesting. Different birds in their individual aviaries. Saw 2 young Harris Hawks and their parents. I liked the use of trees outside the aviary to give t hg e birds privacy.

This was great fun! Just a few of us on the afternoon we went (it was a little chilly - but it's England!). You get a good view of all the different birds, and the flying demonstrations were great....the vultures were our favourites. Good place to take children!

We met my daughter here last Saturday, we travelled from Harrogate, she travelled from Manchester. We were really looking forward to this, I had checked the times online (on their website). This is what I've copied from the site, Displays are at 12 noon, 2pm and 3-30pm. We came at 3pm and there was no-one around we checked the sign... More

I went some time ago hoping for some notes to take back to the States as I am trying to get my falconry license. I had no working phone in the UK to contact in advance, so I went simply with questions, honestly expecting the place to be closed that time of year. Upon arrival, they were open! And I... More
