Have seen musicals, comedy, and recently a thriller here - so they have a variety of shows to suit all tastes. It is well supported and easy to get to in the city centre, close to main shopping areas. Good bar areas which are always packed before a show (although I have never seen a theatre with bars as big... More

This was only my second time attending a Panto (first when i was about 10) and our first time in taking our son. We had a lovely family evening, enjoyed the Panto with a great cast. Great comedy and energy from the cast and, with brilliant story. Our son loved his first experience - aged three - and keeps asking... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the Peter pan production and having been on the last night was blown away by the statistics (attendance, box office figures, £ for charity) the director regaled off at the end. Although the theatre sported yet another full house (1300 I believe) our entry and departure were slick. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, so much so I came home... More

Lacklustre panto! It feels like it's time to bring in a new team. This year was very tired (and, at 2hrs 30 mins, tiring). There's nothing like a dame, and this year there was nothing like a dame, except an awful piece of racial stereotyping of an otherwise very good actor. The whole thing was pathetic, and we left the... More

We make an annual trip to the panto every year and it never usually disappoints. The shows are always great fun and interactive, the children love it as well which is good! Peter Pan wasn't the best panto we have seen here and it was missing that Christmas feel you normally get with a Cinderella / Snow White play but... More

We are very often at the theatre royal and usually they host fantastic productions. However I thought Peter Pan was incredibly out-dated, badly written, slow and cringeworthy to watch with my young children. In 2014 do we really need racial stereotypes, cheap innuendo and a token piece of scantily-clad misogyny in our Pantos? Came across as very 'provincial'. With the... More

I have been going to watch the panto in Norwich for six years now and this is the worst one yet. It was painful to watch at times, the best part was the children on the stage at the end.It was no better than a school production. The script was weak , Richard G is better as playing the dame. Sorry... More

Sticking with family traditon we attended the Christmas Eve performance of Peter Pan. As always, the show was brilliantly staged and took the audience on a fabulous flight of fancy from London to Neverland and back again. Fast paced and laugh out loud funny the pantomime is another triumph for the talented Richard Gauntlett. We've already booked for next Christmas... More

Apart from the Royal Albert Hall, this is the only theatre I've visited more than once. It's comfortable if a little cramped and the fixed wooden armrests between the seats don't suit my gammy left arm. Generally the visibility is good and the sound systems work very well. We saw the Royal Air Force Band commemorating the Red Arrows 50th... More
