Having lived in Norwich for many years, and having lived in riverside, I would definitely recommend having a walk along the river, especially on a sunny day. Norwich is really picturesque and has lots of hidden treasures. Particularly good for anyone interested in photography.

Discovered this near Bishops bridge, and followed the walk along to the Complete Angler, on a sunny Saturday. Plenty of walkers, and a few cyclists and joggers. Very peaceful, and views towards the Cathedral and some of Norwich's older parts. We already plan to return.

Find time for this walk while you are in Norwich, It is so peaceful with plenty to see, from the Cow Tower to the boats, willows, fishermen and also the riverside pubs and bars on the way.

Whatever the weather if we're stuck for something to do the Riverside walk makes the list. With loads of parking at various points. Pushchair friendly. Easy to do all or part of the walk. Plenty of places to eat. Lots to see. We can combine with shopping should we need. It's so so pretty and makes for a lovely day... More

The riverside walk was terrific with great photo ops of the narrow boats, cow tower and willows and others.

The outside of the river curve (east side) has a main road so though there is a path, it is noisier. The inside path is more broken by buildings so needs more attention to follow in and out but is quieter.

Being a recent local, I am probably a bit biased. The river walk never ceases to stir my spirits, beautiful willows, swans, many fish and a peacefulness not found in too many places. All our friends adore the area. A pity that the public drop so much litter in certain areas.

Not what i'd call a spectacular walk but can be used as a great way to join up different parts of the city.

Early on a calm Sunday morning, with the sun shining and nobody about, I found this such a peaceful experience, passing a preserved industrial mill, the Great Hospital and offering views of the cathedral, as well as passing one or two hostelries to revive the flagging footsteps. Opportunities to stop off at other landmarks. Plenty of seats along the way.
