A peaceful walk in Norwich by the river

The Riverside walk we walked was a lovely relaxing time, it took us to Norwich Cathedral. We were happy to linger going and returning walk or saunter would probably fit better.

A very pleasant and easy walk, the walk gives you nice views and a pub also not too far away. Very relaxing and tranquil. Worth a look during a nice day

Thoroughly recommend this saunter to anyone with an eye for the past - some of the architecture is awe inspiring on the route around the town - and do try the Adam & Eve pub for a drink or coffee, and see where all the legal profession have a room cordoned off just for them when not in court!

A great way to see some of less touristy parts of Norwich. It's an easy amble, perhaps taking a couple of hours depending on your pace and stops, around the city centre. There are good paths, bridges to cross, buildings to see and refreshment opportunities.

Easy walk of about 30 minutes taking in grassy areas with trees and some lovely old buildings and bridges.

There are many lovely walks along the Riverside but a favourite of mine is to head over Bishops Gate bridge from the cathedral. Opposite is the Lollards Pitt pub site of gruesome executions in the 16th century. Head towards the City and station along the riverbank. You may notice across the road is Rosary road this was the site of... More

A wonderful walk awaits as you stroll along the river and take in the relaxing flow. Lots to see and do and you feel peaceful especially as you see the cathedral from different views towering up into the Norwich sky. You can't beat a walk rain or shine in one of the county's nicest and best kept walk experiences. All... More

We started this walk from the riverside complex near the odeon/ Hollywood bowl and Llyods Bar. It took a lot of research for us to find a starting point but once we got there it was a lovely walk- definitely recommend :)

Most of this is a pretty walk that is easily accessible. It winds past the cathedral and great hospital and other parts of old Norwich. Much less pretty as it goes through the club and entertainment area with chain pubs and cages, but this area is useful, especially for families. Hopefully the path will soon be extended to link with... More

Lovely to be able to walk through a city on a decent pathway. Many of the bridges had pubs or cafés so it was nice to stop off and have refreshments ! The signage in the city centre is very good but there could be more signs along the river walk - take a city map for ease of reference... More
