A lovely tranquil walk, lovely trees and very few people. A pity that it isn't a bit longer, one end of it has been blocked off by a property developer.

Walking alongside the river, with the cathedral on your other side, is a delightful experience. The weather was bright and sunny on the day of my visit which probably made things look much better, but the path beside the river is a great place to walk at any time of the year.

This is perfect for a stroll with ample seats to sit and watch the world go by. Just off the walk are numerous restaurants, pubs and other eateries.

We parked for free at the leisure centre near the football ground. A lovely walk along the river to the Old Hospital and Cathedral area. Pleasant and easy with many cafes and bars to call in to.

There is a riverside walk along a lot of the river that winds its way through Norwich. This can be on new pavement, old pathways, and river bank. Lots to see along the way like old castle fortifications, where the boats used to unload goods, old houses, the last remaining swan pit (Google it), and lots of wild flowers and... More

It was a beautiful clear sunny but cold Sunday morning. Walked from ThopeSt. Andrew into Norwich staying close to the river all the way, and then along Thorpe road, crossed the river at the station aNd wandered along towards the Cathedral. Such stunning views from here of the fabulous Cathedral and grounds. So lucky to have this river/walk In The... More

I love walking by bodies of water, and this little river walk was no different. Actually, there was one difference: it didn't smell! The water is clean, the stroll is relaxing, and of course the surroundings are beautiful, not to mention historical. If you're in for a relaxing walk, this is definitely the place to go.

Lots of photo opts along the walk. Right next door to Elm Street with many tourist sights. Swans building nests on river.
