A walk up roseberry topping. The car park cost £4 all day or £2 for 2 hours. Starting at the car park it's up hill all the way to the top, and it's 2 miles to the top. The climb took us just under the hour, we stopped a few times to look at the scenery. Great views when you... More

A brilliant walk for all the family even the dogs. Takes around 30 minutes to climb for the lively walkers but worth every step once you reach the top and see the stunning views.

Any visitor able to climb this notorious land mark , should. I have been up four or five times and I am always exhilarated when reaching the top. The views are totally unforgettable.

From newton-under-roseberrry carpark the summit should take 30 to 40 minutes to reach. The view is amazing. If you want to make a day of it go along the cleveland way to captain cooks monument. £4 to park at the carpark all day

Not for the faint hearted, this is a lovely (but steep) climb to the top. Be prepared for mud, even in summer months. A large free car park is available at the bottom. Spectacular views on the climb and once at the summit.

Lovely walk up to Roseberry Topping with the children ( age 5 & 7 ). Great view from the top on a clear day - quite muddy and slippy so take adequate footwear, surprised to see people going up in trainers ! Highly recommended for a nice family day out in the fresh air.

Roseberry topping is a famous local land mark, and rightly so, with it's craggy distinctive profile and easy access. From the pay car park at the bottom it is a gradually steepening path to the back of the Topping followed by quite steep stone steps to the top. (Why pay Gym fees) The view across the Tees Valley and the... More
