I have now been to two separate classes at the Ginger Pig - Pork and beef. It is obvious that the staff take pride in their work and skills. The class remains interesting through theory and practical work including sawing through bones, rolling a joint (!) and learning what to do with the various parts of the animal. It culminates... Whilst being known for its great meat I want to focus on the stuff that they do in the kitchen. Today, I bought a steak and kidney pie. Often (from other suppliers) these pies can be a little watery and meat pieces are few and far between: NOT HERE. The pies from Ginger Pig are full of meat and are... More

We recently visited the Ginger Pig in Marylebone recently and were very impressed with the meat choices, particularly the dry aged cuts in this local butcher on Moxon Street. They sell rolls, pies and other fried take-aways that are worth a try if you find yourself in this area of London. We tried the Pork & Sage Pie (£2.20) that... More

I am not a big meat eater, but I loved the sausage rolls so much I went back and I was only in London for 8 days. This is a really neat area, just off Marylebone High Street where there are lots of neat shops (like Daunts) and pubs, and there is a lovely little park at the end of... More

We are lucky to have a daughter who lives close to this fabulous butcher ,so every time we visit her the first thing I do is to go to Ginger Pig. Their dry aged steaks are moist and tasty ,the lamb superb and they also have wonderful rabbits, very rare for London. I love their pork and caramelised onions pie and... More

I had the pleasure of eating one of Ginger Pig's sausage rolls, and as a sausage roll connoisseur of sausage rolls, I have to say it's the best I've ever had. As were the Steak and Ale pie and beef, stilton and caramelised onion pie. Staff were extremely helpful. Borough Markets are a must.

First-rate vendor of pies, rolls and gourmet meats. Just off Maylebone High, so location is very central for tourists and locals in W1. The Pork Roll is assembled and served with loving care, from the excellent slab of Pork with Crackling, crisp Salad, Fries and other titbits. A real steal indeed, as it is big enough to satiate 2 persons!... More
