There is a thin line between antiques, old tat, cheap copies and ghastly objects. Under this room you need time, expertise and broad knowledge in order not to get disappointed with your purchase. The prices are stiff. So stick to your haggling and limits!!!

The antiques market is hidden away but worth a visit if you like exploring different antique shops. The building is quite old and reminiscent of a rabbit warren with lots of very small shops nestled along the numerous corridors. And not all shops ever seem to be open and certainly not of you get there at the advertised opening time... More

Base on trip advisor review, we took pains to travel here and to locate this place which is quite out of the way. Reached there at 10am but not all shops are opened. One shop owner commented the shops were "supposed" to open by 10am but obviously they didn't. We went to the cafe at the roof top for a... More

I have been here a couple of times and enjoy wandering round looking at some nice stuff priced at London rates. Some of the stall holders were very friendly and nice to talk to, there were two however that were the exception and this has put me off a bit. One lady spoke sharply and snarkily to me about picking... More

I am a passionate antique collector and so Alfie's is my kind of paradise. This is the biggest undercover antiques centre in London and you will find everything here, to suit all budgets and there is lots of honest, specialist advice to assist the novice looking for something a little bit different. Just don't get carried away and remember that... More

I was really excited to find out about this place, neither me nor my wife had heard of it. We took some time to find it and when we did, well... It's rather ordinary, smelly (urine) and full of over priced tat. Some of the stall holders are friendly, some just odd! The café is shabby, nothing special at all... More

I álways visits Aflies on every visit to London. You walk through an area with small shops mainly owned by arabs, passing an streetmarket with vegetables, fruit and so on, and at the end of the street you have Alfies. A big indoor antique market, both exclusive antiques and collectables. Me myself will recommend Dodis, a little shop whit old... More

As some reviewers have attested, not all the stalls in Alfie's are selling bargains or uniformly sensational products. But firstly, you don't come here for the cheapness; secondly, a lot of the stuff is still pretty fascinating to behold; and thirdly, if you want bargain furniture go to DFS. You're missing the point - this is a great destination off... More

I'm sorry we wasted the time to trek out there to Marylebone. Most of the stalls were unattended. The cafe was pretty ordinary. I suppose we were looking for a Bargain Hunt experience. It isn't there. Don't bother!
