This is a fantastic Exhibition Centre, with plenty of car parking. You wont starve as there are many places to eat with in the main corridor. It's a very clean and modern building offering all kinds of food, depending on your taste. The only down side is getting there, its a pain to say the least!!

Wish I'd checked reviews first. Almost £40 paid for a family ticket (tried to find discounts all week, but very few available), for our outdoor-loving, dog walking, hiking, climbing family of four. If we had been cycling or triathlon enthusiasts, I'm sure we'd have been fine, but SO disappointed with the offering for 'outdoor adventure'. The best bit was the... More

Easy to get to via the DLR. Straight off the train, up some stairs and you are at the centre. We came here for the Outdoor and Adventure show but found it to be catered far more for divers and cyclists. Needed more diversity of stalls and more food outlets inside the venue rather than trying to join the crowds... More

Great location, lots of ways to get there. It does involve tortuous tube changes so we just got a taxi from kings cross £30 but straight there no hassle. The problem we found was the massive huge queues for everything from a simple coffee to toilets. Another problem we had travelled down with our bags thinking perhaps there would be... More

Great day out with Monty Hall the star of the show. Somewhat smaller than Birmingham dive show, but still worth a visit.

Billed as an Outdoor and Adventure show, but where was the Outdoor section, a few smaller companies tried hard, but not enough of them, but the main companies from the outdoor world were not there. Even brands listed on the website were not there.

We had a great morning at the bike expo! Me and my boyfriend and his mum and step dad went, we really enjoyed seeing all the bikes and getting to sit on them! The show was amazing too! But once it turned midday it was very over crowded and frustrating as you could barely move! Then, we decided it would... More

This is not a reflection on the Excel Centre, more a critique on the show. It was billed as an Outdoor show yet none of the stands had ' general' outdoors equipment for the walker, hiker or trekker.Bike and climbing enthusiasts and triathletes were well catered for and the guests and talks were very good but the trade stands were disappointing.... This may have been the mutts nuts in terms of show centres 15 years ago but it's totally gone to the dogs since. Regarding parking it's a rip off at £15 a day and the Admin of exiting via the payment booth was hideous taking an hour and a half to get a ticket validated. I.e please rearrange this selection... Fairly easy to get to with a direct connection to the DLR. Certainly better than Olympia and Earls Court as an exhibition centre but lacks atmosphere and a not a place to go to if you are not attending an event. Rather cold in February. Like many exhibition venues, the food choices are not great and the food is expensive.... More
