HMV is my favourite musicstore! I love the wide choice of Music and DVDs. I bought here some seasons of my favourite TV Series "Prince of Bel Air" in its original language and other good movies.

If you are a movie buff or a music lover, then HMV on Oxford Street is a dream come true. Probably one of the largest stores of its kind in Europe, the store also has plenty of games and audio accessories on two floors. I spent most of my time getting several DVDs, and they do have a great collection.... More

After a prolonged time in financial difficulties, the HMV chain is trying to regain profitability against the tide of downloads and file-streaming. One move was to relocate in Oxford Street to their heritage location, on number 363, where HMV started business in 1921. In fitting out the new shop, HMV tried to recapture the past, also with pictures at the... More

Despite the difficulties the company is facing and our dramatically changed music-buying habits during the past 10 years, it remains the most organised music retailer. It offers a great selection of pretty much everything associated with music, video and games in a friendly environment where most employees know what they are talking about (with only few exceptions). I cannot imagine... More

Buy yourself a DVD that plays the European discs and then go crazy at HMV. Most of the US versions of the UK shows are pale comparisons so come here to get the originals. Well maintained selection and helpful staff make this a must stop for fans of Inbetweeners, Gavin and Stacy, and the like.

While some retail stores probably belong here, as they are useful for tourists to know about, HMV is a pretty standard music store. Sure, it is big, but probably not any different to any other large music chain store around the world. Not sure if there are any bargains to be found here, but I guess if you are on... More

Found so many bargains here for CD's and DVD's. Much lower than the prices in Germany.
