Saw Porgy and Bess and was completely blown away. I've seen other productions but THIS cast are extraordinarily talented. Loved every moment. RPOAT is a terrific venue, variety of food options for before and some great drinks at the interval - we enjoyed the brandy hot chocolates! We visit every year but this production is an absolute must see.

Porgy and Bess were hilarious. Great musical and fantastic voices. Actors are great and you will have a good time! You can bring your own food and wine and enjoy the show :) There is a Pret near the Tube so if you forgot your snacks be sure to stop there first!

Regent's Park on a sultry summer's evening, a perfect venue for this quality production. The individual and company performances were outstanding, with both 'Porgy' and 'Bess' giving performances of great subtlety and nuance. The production and choreography were innovative and slick.... moving from one scene to another seamlessly and with such an effective impact on the story-telling. The use of... More

... as long as it doesn't rain! I have just seen Porgy & Bess here, which was a fantastic production. the theatre itself is open air as the name suggests, so you need to come prepared for rain. but watching a show as the sun sets is a lovely experience, and they use this to good effect, gradually introducing lighting.... Stunning! Singing, dancing, acting, scenery, everything about this venue works. I love it! Plenty of shade to sit in before the performance as hottest day of the year so far. Advice: wear a sunhat and take a brolly just to shelter under before the performance starts and during the interval.

My partner and I took her mother to an afternoon matinee here. It is a very short walk from the Tube station to the edge of Regents Park and then a short walk through the park, passing ponds and flower beds, along a wide, paved path to the theatre. We had Afternoon Tea before the performance -- food was okay;... More

I thoroughly enjoyed going to this play at this outside theatre - the atmosphere was enchanting with the tables, bars and outlets set around. Service at the bar was pleasant and quick. Overall with an excellent play to watch and a great setting, what more can you ask.

My wife and I decided to make this our show of our trip and boy did we make the right choice. We saw "Hobsons choice" and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. We arrived early which was just as well as the picnic tables around the BBQ area are very popular. I think that if we were to return which... More

We took our family to see "Hobson's Choice" at this theatre. I was very nervous about the weather. We got a few sprinkles of rain before the show began. The actors were absolutely superb. It was a great update of the original play. We had seats that were fairly close, but the theatre is small enough that I think every... More

The actors were great - able to ad lib quite well when there were unexpected "additions" to the set. It's a beautiful venue, right there in the park, and all the seats had a good view of the stage. I advise that you wear layers - it gets a touch chilly.
