One of the most wonderful Shakespearian experiences, go there soon.

This lovely little open air theatre was the idea of George Bernard Shaw, who wanted it to show only Shaw and Shakespeare. I will never forget seeing A Midsummer Night's Dream in June 1979, I think, with Bernard Bresslaw as Bottom. It was a magical experience, with food available before the start of the performance, and rugs for all in... More

I go every year with a friend, the shows can be a bit hit and miss but one is always excellent. You can't get a better venue.

There is always a wonderful atmosphere in Regents Park Open Air Theatre, it really buzzes at night and you can take your own picnic to eat in the grounds, if you don't want to pay the bar and café prices which are quite high. When it gets dark and the fairy lights come on, it is quite magical. Most of... More

Fresh approach to theatre and a brilliant performance. Lucky to have the sun shining too. It felt as though I was on holiday for a few hours. Loved every second and even entertained my teenage brother from start to finish.

It's wonderful to have an Open Air Theatre. The plays are usually good and the musicals excellent. As long as it doesn't rain, it's a great evening out!

I go here every year to see a show as the venue is so unusual and if the weather is kind, it's one of the best places to spend a summer evening. The shows are always varied so there's something for everyone. The seats are good view wise, but I would always take a cushion for extra comfort and also... More

We loved the presentation of To Kill a Mockingbird this summer. The excellent cast's deliberate movement and focus on the action was a key to inviting the audience into total absorption in the action of this evergreen story. As a visitor to London I particularly enjoyed the whole Regent's Park experience. Highly recommended. Book early and look out for the... More

It was my first time at Regent`s Park Open Air Theatre and enjoyed very much. The performance was The Gershwin`s Porgy and Bess an American opera. It was not exactly what I want to see in England but, the enviroment at the theatre was very nice and very well performed. Before I had afternon tea and the cakes and sandwiches... More

I visited the Open Air Theatre in Regents Park for the first time as had a super time. The facilities are very good, loos clean and next to the amphitheatre, a very good bar too with a decent range of wines and snacks available. The bar area was very busy but staff worked fast and queues went down quickly. I... More

We have been to the Open Air Theatre several times, most recently to see Porgy & Bess which we thoroughly enjoyed. As we are reasonably local, we tend to leave it to the last minute to book tickets & only book if there is a good chance of dry weather. This isn't an option for everyone (& it does restrict...
