The o2 academy in Brixton is an unbelievable venue. After going to large arenas for the past few years it was so great to go to a raw, interesting and the feel of history, venue. I wish I could see my favourite bands there as it just feels more special in the academy.

First time I have been to the 02 academy at Brixton, the venue was great, the music sounded fantastic and all the staff there were really helpful and friendly.

When I arrived I had come from quite far afield, so I had a couple of big bags with me. As I was entering the building, I was stopped by security. The woman on the doors was really pedantic and treated me more like a criminal than a paying customer. As she was going through my bag I was telling... More

I have only visited the 02 Brixton Academy twice, the first time being over ten years ago for a concert. The second only recently being in November. But I am pleased to say that the quality of the service hasn't declined. The staff are very helpful, and one in particular was gracious enough to ask and wait if I wanted... More

I have been to hundreds of concerts and visited hundreds of concert venues, but there is something about the Brixton Academy which makes it by far my favorite. The decor is great, there are enough bars that you can always get a drink and the slopping floor means there is a great view from where ever you are standing. There... More

so disappointed, went with my 23 year old son and my friend, love ub40 and I could see that they were very talented musicians, but the bass was so distortingly loud, that some of the songs were almost unrecognisable, it was the same throughout, and I dont understand why sound engineers did not sort it out. Gutted!!

Was looking forward to an eagerly anticipated UB40 concert to celebrate my sister's birthday and was left feeling deeply disappointed. The overall experience of Brixton Academy was fairly positive, the venue staff were quick to get people through the door whilst undertaking a half-hearted body search and the queues at the bar were somewhat manageable. The supporting band, Steel Pulse,... More

My fav venue in London, superb for gigs, with its slanted floor it makes every spot ideal for viewing. Bar can get busy inside and out, situated near the station it's ideal location, pubs and restaurants are near by. The staging is superb and very picturesque and the sound is quality in here. Superb always.

This is a top class venue with quality sound. But why oh why are the bars ripping people off - warm beer for £5 a bottle. Welcome to London!
