Headed out with a few friends as part of a birthday celebration and had a great time at the Comedy Cafe. Great acts and MC and very funny! Good beer and even better atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and visit again...

went here with some friends and we had a great night out, the comedians were good and the compere was excellent. The venue is small but its got a great atmosphere. Bar on site as well which helps with drinks.

I am a big fan of supportnig live comedy. The atmosphere is very chilled and really nice place to get a drink with a live gig. The performances werent mindblowing but there were a good few jokes! I would give it a go if you want a fun evening out for £10.

MC was good, and a mix of acts. Nice sized room with a great atmosphere and big enough bar that there wasn't much queuing for drinks between comedians. Would definitely go back

Enjoyed this place. Comedy really funny in atmospheric upstairs bar. It's small, so you could be involved! Worth a visit if you enjoy a laugh!

I really liked this comedy evening, there were 4 performers, one better than the other, but all in all the venue and the atmosphere was nice! I especially enjoyed the dance act from Chris! No one expected it I think! I guess that comedy show is as good as its performers last performance, but it's worth giving them a credit... More

We were staying in Shoreditch and decided to give the Comedy Café a try. I booked tickets online and they were free on a Wednesday night. We nearly decided to go elsewhere as we thought it must be a bit dire if its free but glad we didn't. Ok, the comedy wasn't as polished as you might find elsewhere but... More

So went on Halloween night to a poetry versus comedy night. It was £8 to get in and drink were reasonably priced. The acts were not that great though. The hosts kind of just jabbered on and I got the feeling that most people were regulars and buddies with the venue because there were a lot of personal jokes. The... More

We did not eat. All the acts were poor as was the MC...they must have been starting out...there were no comebacks to any of the heckles. Having said all that we did have fun. For £12 each it was fine...I will return.

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighborhood Profile
Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighborhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbor can result in fascinating outcomes.
