This is my favourite place for a swim in London. No chlorine and the odd duck swimming past! Need to be able to swim well as there is no bottom to the pond but temperatures in the summer are comparable to local pools so if you don't like the cold wait till the summer, however the cold water is surprisingly... The Hampstead swimming ponds are one of the cities calmest, most pleasant spaces - especially the Ladies pond which is very beautiful. Though swimming in these ponds may not be everybodys cup of tea they have lovely sunbathing areas too. The water can be chilly, but perfect on a summers day. My sister swims here regularly and i thought she must be mad but i went along last week and had a lovely relaxing outdoor swim. Men's pond has a small area set aside for nude sun bathing, friendly crowd mainly gay. Some really horny guys can get there some days!!!

Three beautiful ponds on Hampstead Heath where you can swim with the ducks and fish. One is ladies only, one is the men's pond and one is mixed.
