After discovering the skates were of very poor quality we attempted to gain a refund. Despite the staff being nice, the manager who we had to talk too was an example of the worst customer relations experience I have ever had to deal with. After being rejected a refund in the most rude and blunt manner we had to make... More

Was so excited to come and try a group lesson here but was fairly gobsmacked by the teaching. Nothing was explained and when I asked questions the instructors gave me 3 word answers and skated off (regularly). They spent most of the lesson audibly gossiping about other instructors and one of them was on their phone the majority of the... More

Brilliant evening and great value for money!!! Recently visited Queens Ice and Bowl as part of a family's weekend away, arrived at 6 PM for karaoke in our own private karaoke room, followed by two games of bowling. I am not that good in bowling however there was technician who came to us and showed how to hold Bowl and... More

No student discount rates which is a bummer because £7.50 per person for a game is quite unreasonable, considering the fact that the pins are incomplete most of the time. Didn't try the pool/snooker tables and also the ice rink so not much of a help for that.

I have bowled in some poor quality places, but this one is the winner. All bowling balls have large craters, floors are not waxed, we hardly ever had all pins standing up at the beginning of each game. Initially we started at the lane #2, one of the pins kept falling. The technician spent 10 min and could not fix... More

We were booked in for our work's Christmas party. From the word go things did not go to plan. First they couldn't find our booking, then one of our teams had to wait 15 minutes as a previous group had over run their time slot. Half way through our game we were interrupted by staff and told that they were... More

The experience at Queens Ice & Bowl was diabolical from start to finish. We were 'greeted' by a member of staff behind the counter who behaved as if she didn't want to be there, no smile or enthusiasm, it seemed as if everything was a terrible chore. Half an hour into our game we were interrupted by someone who told... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
