I visited this interesting museum a few months before the fire, I hope that most of the artefacts were restored. Lots of fascinating objects from all over the globe, collected by the Cuming family on their journeys. So many eye opening items to see, and good for all the famiy. Highly reccomend!

The museum is a small place, where you can see different collections from Africa, Oceania, Europe, Asia.

I found a great book about the Cummign family, Whoever been to the museum will be able to understand the history of the Cumming family better. The pictures and the artifact become alive.

The museum... More

This museum is very well presented in a small space. To imagine all in the interior of the Cuming household, it must have looked quite shocking. Well worth a view.

I do NOT agree with the other reviewer who said that this museum can be quickly seen. I have been seeking out unusual museums in London during my visit this is one of the most interesting because it has so much character and the real feeling still of a private collection. The family who collected these variety of unusual items... More

This is situated in the old Walworth Town Hall.it is a presentation of some of the thousands of items collected by this family in the nineteenth century. There is no theme to it all.Rather as if someone decided to go along to auctions and buy everything that they could afford. So unless you are specifically interested in this sort of thing it...
