Excellent fun, very entertaining guide, we were aware in advance that for 'operational reasons' we might need to change ducks to do the river section of the tour but that didn't happen and wouldn't have bothered us if we did have to. Kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Well worth it.

What an enjoyable trip! You won't regret going on one of the tours. You whiz through the streets of London in an amphibious vehicle, the sail along the Thames. The guide's humour was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Top marks for this.

We had a family tour in early January 2016. I had wanted to do this for some years and thought it would never happen after the fire in autumn 2013. The DukWs are back and better than ever with full safety equipment. Tours should be pre-booked; the cost for a family ticket is over £70 which compares unfavourably with an... More

Went on this as my youngest (10) really wanted to do it while in London. Other two (15 & 12) weren't too fussed about going, but in fact we all really enjoyed it! Lots of banter from the tour guide Mike some interesting facts, some terrible jokes! Expensive (£86 for family if 5) but worth the money!

Rather than hopping on the regular Red Bus for the city tour, my friend suggested the Duck Tour, which was the best choice. We had so much fun, and it gave us a much better experience of discovering London, especially on the Thames itself!!!

We had a great tour by road and river - Matthew, our guide, was really funny and very knowledgeable about London. He even led us all in a chorus of Happy Birthday and "I'm getting married in the morning" for the four on board celebrating! Would really recommmend this tour for anyone wanting to see the main London landmarks and... More

After a few previous (successful) duck tours in the past I took my family including my elderly mother on a group outing. I was incredibly disappointed to find that we had to change ducks not once but twice because of the problems in the ducks entering the water. What was particularly annoying is the claim on the website that it... More

This is never going to be your in-depth tour of London but as our guide said, most people do this tour to get into the Thames. It was thrilling entering the water especially as you enter the water right next to the MI5 building. A quick sail up the House of Parliament and back to MI5 and you're out of... More

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
