To quote the late, great Lee Marvin in the movie Cat Ballou, "IT WAS JUST SWELL!!" We had signed up for the tea before we left the states. We had experienced high tea at Fortnum and Masons our last visit to London, and we were not that impressed. But this tea on the river was all we expected and more.... More

We had gone to Greenwich for the Tall Ships Festival. There was far less doing than we had hoped and decided to go on a City Cruises round trip to Westminster to fill in three hours of the day! What a brilliant three hours it turned out to be! We went on the boat 'Millennium of Peace' (I think!) and... More

After a daylong sight seeing ,we took the Thames circular cruise offered by city cruises. We got a 50% discount online.this 45 min cruise leaves from tower of London pier to Westminster pier and back. The commentary is matter of fact, can definitely be spiced up. We had very nice coffee and muffins ( not included). Perfect way to rest your feet... More

If you want to see London from the Thames, this is how you do it. The guide explains all that you are seeing. My suggestion is to sit on the right side of the boat for there is more to see on that side and you can take pictures easier and with the reflection of the water, you get dome... More

Leaving the London Eye for Greenwich on a pleasant September day was better than expected. We happen to have a great Londoner who was doing the commentary how informative he was and such a laugh.Having been down the river on various occasions before this was the best we learnt so much history. However the return journey was a bit boring as it... Very enjoyable cruise, we were entertained by the crew with their amusing knowledge of all the buildings and monuments along the Thames. We rode to Greenwich and visited the sites there and travelled back all the way to Westminster.

We took the Westminster to Greenwich tour and our guides were fantastic! They gave a verbal tour and were helpful while still entertaining. We stopped off at Greenwich, visited the National Maritime Museum and took the return boat to Westminster. On the second boat we listened to an audio tour, this was informative but not as fun. The longer trip... More

We decided to view the Tall Ships festival via the water and took a trip up the Thames to Greenwich. This is a pleasant way to see the city from the water's edge as your guide will point out places of interest as you go along. An adult round trip costs GBP12.85 with tours starting at various points from Westminster... More

Great cruises. We went from Big Ben to Greenwich. Found some great gems of information on the way down to Greenwich.

On arrival in London at our Docklands hotel, & wanting to cram as much as we could into our short stay, my great grand daughter & I jumped on the DLR to Tower Gateway. We then got the tube to Westminster to see Big Ben & The London Eye. Then came the highlight of the day, the City Cruise Boat... More
