I enjoyed our trip from Little Venice to Camden Lock with the Water bus company it was a lovely peaceful journey passing through Maida Tunnel and past Regents Park and Regents Zoo and then disembarking into the hustle bustle and noise of Camden market it is a trip well worth taking

we walked the canal from Limehouse basin through to Camden, almost 8 miles of views of a completely changing City, the walk from Limehouse to Victoria park was nice , seeing the locks working was good , had tea and cake in Victoria park then carried on the rest, some parts of the canal are a bit untidy and the... Have walked along the canal several times, it is very relaxing and enjoyable. The only downside is that cyclists ignore the signs telling them to give priority to pedestrians, which is a problem when you are waling on a narrow part of the canal, under a bridge for example There are also signs telling cyclists not to cycle on parts... In a busy, noisy expensive town, A wander down the canal from Little Venice to Camden lock is very pleasant, tranquil, picturesque in parts and very cheap. There are loads of options to come off the canal and explore different areas of London. I recommend, walk up primrose hill then pop into the local pubs for a swift half. The... More

After the bustle of the Camden Locks this was a quieter part of our canal journey and much cleaner than the Grand Union Canal, but still not perfect. Litter is somehow worse if it's floating and harder to clear. Lots of people walking the tow path and noises from the Zoo. We also saw a green parakeet that had escaped... More

The Regent Canal stretches between Camden Lock & Little Venice (Maida Vale). Canal boat rips are every hour on the hour & last 45-50 minutes. You can start at either end & go one-way or return. It was a very relaxing experience, although there was not that much to see. Yes, we went through London Zoo, but at canal level... More

We walked from Camden along the canals, through Regent Park until we found little Venice and it was really a nice route. I can't promise you that you will like it, but if you are after something different, far away from the crowds, the tourists, the fancy shops and restaurants, this picturesque route will offer it to you ungrudgingly. Little... More

Walking from Little Venice to Camden Town following the Regen't Canal will afford you a deep insight in what makes London tick. As more and more construction encases the last bits of charm London had left into mere showpieces surrounded by glass and cement by anonymous starchitecs, the Regen't Canal has also suffered fatal blows. However, if you do the... More

I have never walked the stretch of canal out to Limehouse in the East End but know the part from Kings Cross to Little Venice pretty well. It is a lovely walk on a sunny day, even if parts are rather industrial. Other parts along Regents Park, for instance, are really glorious and by Little Venice is pretty. The whole... More

We took the Hammersmith & City line from Hammersmith to Paddington with our two dogs emerging straight onto the canal footpath. Taking a 5 minute stroll we were inLittle Venice and the start of our walk to Limehouse Basin c11 miles to the East on the banks of the Thames. Unfortunately you can't walk the entire footpath as some sections... More
