A really lovely walk - this time from near Lords Cricket Ground to Kings Cross

Walked from Little Venice along the canal to the tunnel at Islington. What was a very nice walk was spoilt by the rubbish in several parts of the canal....plastic bottles, polystyrene, general garbage. Quite disgraceful. Still, it was nice to see the swans and ducks in the canal & surviving the garbage. I walked on a Friday later in the... More

The Camden start was busy but further east was less so. The paths can be very small and you often have to give way to cyclists. It was nice to see the parks along the way but overriding memory of the walk is that the canal is very dirty, people just dont think its bad to throw their rubbish in... More

On previous occasions I have walked the length of Regents Canal but not in one go. On this Saturday evening I walked from near the Lords cricket ground to join the canal for the walk to Kings Cross. In my opinion, from here to say the Chinese Pagoda/ Prince Albert Road is the most scenic part of this lovely walk... More

Absolutely beautiful to stroll down the canal side. Watching gondolas or just enjoy the quiet away from the crowds in Camden.

Wandering along the canal the city seems to be far away. I couldn’t believe it’s possible to find such nature settings in almost central London. This was a huge surprise for me I really enjoyed the walk along Regent's Canal. We have done a walk from Camden Town, Primrose Hill, Regent's Canall and Regents Park. This walk combines urban nature... More

An excellent way to view London from a totally different perspective. Enjoy a stroll along the canal and at the bridge intersections sight see the streets. The long boats are all unique and gorgeous with pretty canal brick bridges for those who enjoy some nice photography scenes. Watch on weekends and at peak hours (morn & eve) especially in warmer... After walking around the Camden Area, looking at the market and food stalls a trip on a boat along the Regents Canal was very appealing. So with great enthusiasm I boarded the boat for this trip. My camera was at the ready and I was looking forward to getting loads of great pictures. Everything looked very Green as we left... More

The Canal itself is lovely to walk along and its hard to imagine you are in the heart of the busy City of London. It is also hard to imagine this was a major trading route in the height of the Canal days. Lots of different sights to take in - but beware of the cyclists, as others have said... More

Start your walking trip from Camden and perhaps walk all the way to Little Venice. Before you turn to the London Zoo there is a Chinese boat moored on the left which is a restaurant - great setting for dinner. Otherwise bring some snacks and drinks and sit by the canal watching the boats go by. Excellent, highly recommended!

Especially the stretch each side of Victoria Park. If you think cyclists will give way to you they will laugh in your face if you suggest it! A very dangerous stretch for walking and I think a decision needs to be made whether to ban walkers or cyclists - the two don't mix.
