Good value...great way to see the city.

We purchased a 24 hour pass via the concierge at our hotel. It was a 20 min city bus ride from the Dorsett Shepherds Bush Hotel to the Marble Arch where this tour departs. The... read more

We choose this operator as they appeared to cover all we wanted at a competitive price, 2 adults and 1 (5 yr old) child ticket, costing £64.50. We were e-mailed a voucher and collected the ticket at the Original London Visitors centre close to where we boarded the open top bus nr Trafalgar Sq. The male guide was very friendly... More

We recently spent a day on the original hop on hop off tour. We took the yellow line which we liked for the live guide as opposed to a recorded one. The tour included a very imteresting Jack The Ripper walking tour through London's east end. Give yourselves 2 hours for it. It departs from the Tower of London 3:30... More

Well worth doing the up-grade for 48 hours, saves time, money and lots of walking and the trip to Greenwich is amazing!

Even though the buses were supposed to come every 10 to 15 minutes, we waited 20 to 30 minutes most of the times. If you book online and you get an eVoucher, you first have to change that to the real ticket. Very poor description of how to do it and from my point of view very unnecessary because in... More

We went on this tour for 24 hours and really enjoyed it. We did a mix of the loops and we went on the yellow hop on and hop off tour rather than the red because of the live speakers and I would definitely recommend doing that. All the speakers were excellent and really knowledgeable and funny - especially Gary... More

Disappointed if the tour guide could have looked in my wife's eyes and not her breast or could have spoken good English it might have been enjoyable.. would not recommend.

Very informative guides but when tried to extend my ticket to another day it turned out can only do that at very beginning; this information would have been useful to know upfront because than I would have spent more time on the bus than hopping off.

We purchased a 24 hour pass via the concierge at our hotel. It was a 20 min city bus ride from the Dorsett Shepherds Bush Hotel to the Marble Arch where this tour departs. The ticket price includes all four bus lines plus the water taxi tour. Get an early start because they stop running around 7pm (it's important to... More

We had a great time and enjoyed the very friendly staff but our only problem was originally finding the depot to be picked up from as it wasnt very clear when we arrived at Euston Station. So we covered most of where we wanted to except it started to rain and that we were told was quite normal . Thanks... More

We chose the Yellow Route of the Original London bus tour from Rick Steve's recommendation. It was a good overview of the city but our guide pointed out expensive cars and celebrity hotels and homes rather than talking about London history or culture. Perhaps that's to be expected for a tour like this. It was a pleasant experience but not... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
