My sister and I have been visiting London for a while now - both Britons but not really had the chance to explore all the different sights of London. We decided to go on the bus tour as the routes covered all the areas we wanted to see without the need to travel by public tube or bus. They had... More

Morning tour superb with a fantastic guide -- Ms O'sullivan I think. She is a great asset to your organisation. Afternoon tour - the Museums - a big disappointment. Needs completely re-writing and re-recording. Not enough information and often in wrong place! Hard Rock Café being described whilst still on Haymarket!! Many gaps which Miss O'S cleverly and humouressly filled... More

My third trip (alone, with wife and then with family). The live guides on the yellow tour are usually a bonus but one can even go for the recorded scripts as they are very entertaining.

We signed up for the tour to understand the layout of the city and so on day 1 took the redline from start to finish and little off and on and then used the second day to spend more time at particular attractions like buckingham palace, etc. I preferred the guided tour (yellow I think) rather than the recording. Also... More

I would recommend avoiding this company as we found ourselves waiting over half an hour at more than one of their stops, when they told us the buses came every 10 - 15 minutes. We were told it was becuase traffic was bad, but the other bus companies seemed to be doing fine, as we noticed the Big Bus and... More

We love using open top sightseeing bus tours wherever we go - it's great for my parents who are less mobile. We were able to make the best of our 4 days in London by hopping from site to site via the open top bus. Best of all, they were running an offer which gave us 2 days for the... More

Steve our guide for most of the tour on the yellow route was very informative and brought a bit of humour to the facts he was very engaging of the audience. When his colleague got on the bus he was less so engaging. Current offer is buy one day and get the next free so we went on both days.... More

The tour guide was a young woman who spoke rather rapidly in a high voice. I am English but it was quite hard to follow her commentary. She constantly told us what we were going to see next, but then did not give us a lot of information about what we were seeing. There was a lack of historical content,... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
