Took my daughter to see the show as a end of school year treat and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. We sang along to every song and the audience did too. The crowds were so in to it there was lots of cheering and clapping and especially when Johnnie says "Nobody puts baby in the corner" everyone flew... More

I was really looking forward to this show, and while it was by no means a bad night, it was a let down. They've tried to stay as true to the movie as possible, and that in one way is a great thing, but it also means that the show end up very disjointed and almost hurried; if you've never... More

I personally really enjoyed it because I deliberately saw the show first before watching the film so I went with no expectations. However my friend who loves the film thought that it was nowhere as near good as the film. She was very disappointed with the sets and the dancing.

I love the dirty dancing film and I usually love west end shows so I was deeply disappointed by this awful performance. The actors (with the exception of the girl who played Penny) showed no feeling behind the words they were saying and could be described as wooden at best. We would have walked out at half time if it... More

I have been to some awesome shows and have left feeling uplifted but this has got to be the worst show I have ever seen. There wasn't enough singing in it after all it was supposed to be a musical it certainly wasn't worth the money I paid. Very disappointed. The only person that had any presence was the character... Saw at Newcastle Theatre Royal with a friend. We were really excited but I thought the show was pretty poor. The acting in places made me cringe and Johnny was awfull. Terrible American accents and even the final dance was a little disapointing. I found myself itching for it to be over. Really bad value for money.

I had been looking forward to this for months when we finally got to see it in Newcastle. And left feeling very disappointed. It was more like a play with a backing track, and I was expecting a musical will good singing. The main characters had zero chemistry, and the guy cast as Johnny had no charisma. The first half... I went to see this production in Newcastle and I have to say it was poor. I love the film and know it word for word but I felt the acting skills of those involved were very poor. Johnny really was a let down and just seemed to be reading the lines without conviction. Enjoyed the atmosphere but bit disappointed

Went to see dirty dancing recently at theatre royal , newcastle. I was with a party of 4 females, and we all felt the same about the show. It was quite disappointing and at times I have got to admit I was bored. The most disappointing bit was "johnny"- he just didn't grab the audience. I am no party pooper... More

This was the first musical I have ever seen and it was just great. So entertaining and made me enthusiastic about other musicals. I went to this musical with 4 friends and we got our tickets for a bargain of 20 £. I recommend buying your tickets at leicester square near the metro station, you will see signs of prices... More
