We had no plans to use the cable car but saw it on a walk back from the Thames barrier on a wet Wednesday. It was still a sight to behold looking out over the O2 arena and the Xcel. It only cost us £3.30 one way using our Oyster card which was amazing so remember to use that rather... More

Probably the best way to approach the O2 arena. Great views over the river and towards Canary Wharf. Keeps moving along quite swiftly with minimal queuing.

It is very high. But moves very smoothly and swiftly. Getting from the Excel or o2 this is the only way back to the Thames Clipper (or from if you are going the other way). It's cheap, it's fast and if you close your eyes and threaten the lives of your other passengers to not "rock the car" you'll be... More

We queued for around 20mins although we had not bought pre-paid tickets and it was half term holidays. We've also done lots of London attractions inc. the London Eye, etc. and thoroughly enjoyed this a unique experience in seeing the sights of East London. Be aware that the prices which are heavily advertised around the ticket office promote package deals... More

What is the point of this? In terms of transport, it links two places that are already two stops apart on the existing network. In terms of a tourist attraction, it's a view of East London. Which, even by the most generous measure, isn't exactly the most aesthetically pleasing part of the capital. It's an overpriced political white elephant. Don't... More

A simple and easy way to travel across the Thames. There was a bit of a queue to get our tickets and then we had to queue again to get on the cable car, but once on the journey was really good great views over the river especially the O2. It would have been better if we had bought our... More

I discovered this by accident while perusing what to do in London and am glad I did...it was a great ride and good value too as I booked it online in conjunction with the Clipper ferry. I would highly recommend you take this flight!

The view from the top is fantastic and a nice way to see the area. The whole operation is well run and makes the trip a pleasure. Having now done this twice I would recommend the cable car and then catching the clipper boat back to central London. Both were discounted with our travel cards. A very nice trip.
