As a non- lover of musicals I took my younger daughter to see this show last minute, the seats were not great but okay for a last minute deal. Miss trunchbowl was laugh out loud funny, I don't think there was one person in the theatre that did not laugh. Possibly one of the better musicals, some well placed adult... More

We went Christmas Eve 2014 with our grand daughter aged six. We Three adults were most disappointed, we thought it very wordy which we couldn't hear. It wasn't true to the book and we thought the music/tunes were definitely In the realms of "could do a lot better". First time I've been disappointed in any West End production, other than... More

My son had been working on this in his drama class and was eager to see the real thing. He was transfixed throughout, and it held my attention for about 90% of the time. A very good show, although I will agree with some reviewers that some of the numbers are so fast-paced that the song comes across a bit... More

This was a great show and you could tell it had Tim Minchin's mischievous influence! The child performers are fantastic and will have you giggling. The actor who portrays Miss Trunchbull is incredible and will have you in stitches the first time you see her! The show follows the Roald Dahl book more that the Danny DeVito film but it's... More

This show has a fabulous set, excellent songs, great acting, singing and dancing including wonderful child actors, and operates on 2 levels, obvious fun and jokes for the children in the audience and more subtle jokes for the adults.

We went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory In February and didn't think this could be beaten. We were wrong. We saw Matilda on Saturday - WOW. What a musical. Such talented children. Craig Els as Miss Trunchbull was amazing . All the cast were fantastic - definitely go and see this musical. You will regret it if you... More

Its OK in parts but not great. The guy playing Mrs trunchbull is pretty good but the songs are hard to understand but its pretty dull to be honest, didn't make me laugh too much or think wow! Better off going to Lion King or Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Both a lot better
