My husband booked this as a birthday treat for me. I've read the book, though not for ages, and adore Tim Minchin who wrote the score. The show has a large number of children in the cast and their performances were excellent. Our Matilda on the night was superb, but all the other children were just fantastic. Superb performances, slick... More

I went with my two children age 13 and 10 and my husband. We had great seats in the second row of the stalls. I didnt know what to expect and was dreading it but it was fantastic. This show is really worth seeing. A great feel good musical, its a week since we saw it and we are still... More

We LOVED this show, and, even better, every person we've recommended it to loved it just as much. Amazing production, fantastic songs, great cast. Highly recommended for all ages, but especially to bookish young girls, and those who used to be bookish young girls: they'll think it was written about them.

Took my 6 year old son he and I were mesmerised from start to finish. It's a fantastic production with lots of special effects throughout. The actor who plays mrs trunchball is in my opinion truly gifted. He has the character down to a fine art the expressions and one liners are brilliant. Matilda herself plays the part beautifully she's... More

I have been waiting for ages to see Matilda, and boy was it worth the wait. We had a fantastic night and were blown away by the talent on stage - the kids are just brilliant! We sat on row B, seats 1 and 2, and the seats were great for us. I wouldn't sit so close to the stage... More

Right from the first number you know this is going to be something slightly different. You will leave humming Tim Minchin's genius songs, which are witty and insightful. The staging is also very imaginative. We took a 9 year old and 5 year old and they both loved it and were spellbound throughout. Only thing is the theatre seems to... More

Saw Matilda with my two girls (7 & 8) & we all loved it. Fabulous performance, cast & set. Matilda was aptly played by a girl named Matilda & she was amazing. Miss Trunchbull was very funny. My girls said it was their favourite musical ever & would love to see it again. The theatre is very small & intimate... More

My 9 year old girl preferred this to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but my 10 year boy didn't. Myself and hubby sided with my boy! Great show (Matilda) well worth every effort and money to go and see.

Saw this show with my partner who wasn't keen to see but ended up loving it as his first west end show I however have seen loads and this is on par with Charlie as excellent although not as many special effects it does itself justice by the acting alone the trunchbull was sooo funny and we'll acted maltilda herself...
