Went here for Paddy's Day. The pub is a great pub but someone needs to sort out the kitchen. We ordered two hot platters. What was served up was honestly the worst food I have seen in London for many years. For £15.90 a platter we were presented with a few chopped up sausages, some chicken wings that were absolutely... Located close to Covent Garden. It's a great pub for beer lovers. They also have a good selection of pub food. Arrive early as it gets very busy in the evening.

First ever visit...Popped in for a quick drink with friends before dinner and ended up staying for 2 hours! Interior is incredible and so is the choice of beers on tap. Great value, great atmosphere and friendly bar team. 10 out of 10

This curiously big pub resembles an old steamship with exposed polished brass pipework, numerous stairways and a plethora of cubbyholes to sit. Lots of bottled beers available and plenty of their own brews on draught too. There are at least four serving bars which operate depending on how busy it is. This pub is pretty unique in style and offering... More

The Peterhouse has built up a chain of pubs based on the Dublin original in Temple Bar. This one has more ceramic decor replacing some of the wood but still have the brass pipework. Again it is a multi level experience providing many different and separate drinking areas. The usual Porterhouse stout selections but also featuring some domestic ales as... More

Visited with friends on recent trip to London on their recommendation. Really good pub with lots of interesting spaces to sit and a really nice atmosphere. Good selection of beers and drinks at very reasonable prices for the location, was busy but the bar staff were efficient and wasn't a long wait for drinks. Will definitely visit again when back... Incredible selection of ale (mostly bottled) & some interesting ones of tap. There's a big outdoor area in front of the pub which caters to smokers & summer drinks alike which is a huge bonus. Downstairs bar in the basement houses extra room & serves a different range of drinks. Well worth it for an ale enthusiast even if food... More

Overall I was very impressed with the Porterhouse. After being recently being in Ireland, it did really remind me of being in an Ireland bar. The only bad thing was the food. Some of it was ok. Nice but not amazing. If you want to go to a pub with an actual irish feel.....then this is the ace to go.... More
