The place feels like an authentic Irish pub. There's a large choice of beers and drinks and the bar staff are really friendly and helpful.

Overall I was very impressed with the Porterhouse. After being recently being in Ireland, it did really remind me of being in an Ireland bar. The only bad thing was the food. Some of it was ok. Nice but not amazing. If you want to go to a pub with an actual irish feel.....then this is the ace to go.... More

If you're looking for choice of beers and drinks... look no further! We spent a lovely lazy afternoon here sampling the wines and beers on offer. Strawberry beer was a particular highlight! Split over lots of levels make sure you make your arrangements to meet and sometimes tables can be hard to come by. It's worth the wait though. Traditional... More

One look in maiden lane will be sufficient for you to decide that the Porterhouse is not a traditional London pub. Surrounded by super pubs, makes this one an exception. Its split into many levels but you always feel as if you are in a smaller, intimate space. The usual decoration is of case after case of bottled beer. there... More

I visited here on a works night out. It was a nice location. Very busy but that's Friday in Central London. I was very impressed by the choices of beers available. The staff were very helpful in recommending what to try as there were well over 100 beers to try. The interior is also and interesting layout. There is also... More

It was a lovely bar the décor inside was lovely and it was much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside! BUT it was way too overcrowded we got there at about 9:30pm and it was so jammed that you could barely get passed people and we had to stand for at least an hour. We were... More

Never have I stood at a bar and been ignored for 20 minutes, whilst 3 bar staff potter about doing everything BUT serve the customers. What made it worse, on the odd occasion they decided to serve, they were not monitoring who had been waiting the longest - this meant a really bad atmosphere with lots of unhappy people simply... The Porterhouse has become one of my favourite bars in London, purely because of it's brilliant drink selection. They have a huge number of different beers and ales to choose from, and the place itself is huge! They have live acts occasionally which is also good, and the food's not too bad either. Would definitely recommend.

Great authentic pub/bar with a wicked atmosphere - totally buzzing. Excellent choice of beer, ales and bitters from across the world all reasonably priced for Central London. Ample seating and spread over 3 floors with plenty of quirky seating areas to relax with friends. Don't go to covent garden and miss this place. Love it!
