We visited last Saturday having been to The Porterhouse in Diblin a couple of times last year and had excellent food there. What a difference having got a table we studied the menu for just a minute and left! There was only burgers or pizzas none of the lovely typical Irish dishes we had enjoyed in Dublin We certainly won't... More

The Porterhouse is a huge multi-level Irish Pub behind the Strand. It is so large depending on what section you are in, it almost feels as if you are in different Pubs. My understanding is that they they have a dedicated Brewery providing craft beers. Early on a Wednesday evening there was a large lively crowd which was a mix... More

Can't believe I only visited this place for the first time a couple of weeks ago! We visited on a bank holiday Monday afternoon and whilst fairly quiet, the atmosphere was great. The drink selection is one of the best I have stumbled across in London and the prices are actually reasonable (especially considering the nightmare touristy location). I can't... More

We ate here 2 nights ago and were very disappointed. Food was very ordinary and expensive for what was served. When we requested vegetables with one meal in place of the house slaw it was agreed but when we went to pay we were charged and additional amount for the change. It was not itemised in the bill nor did... More

Great for an after work drink or quick catch-up with friends...though you'll have to find them first in this maze of a pub! (If you go to the loo you might need to leave a trail of breadcrumbs to get back again) Lovely atmosphere for a drink, sometimes there's live music too which is great

Came in as a small group meeting more of our friends for drinks in London, ended up with 11 of us and I'm happy to say - lots of room! You wouldn't expect it to be as big as it is from looking at the outside, but the bar is spaced across 3 floors with various mezanine / balcony sections... More

Everytime I have been here, it has been very packed but we often manage to find a table somewhere. Live music on previous visits and recommendations from staff are helpful. The pub has a huge range of beers and a few ciders on offer. The central London location is both good and bad (it gets very busy sometimes). It's prices... More

My sister and I visited for St Patrick's, we loved the choice of ales and the knowledgable staff on what we'd like. Great party atmosphere.
