Jonnie met us at our hotel for our first afternoon in London. I thought a walking tour would be a good way to orient ourselves to the city . . . and beat jet lag (from the US). Jonnie was prompt, friendly, and professional. He is quite knowledgeable, fun, and was able to bring the sites of Westminster alive from... More

I made the mistake of booking a private walking tour with Jonnie at Bowl of Chalk for my family on our first full day in London. When I was the only one who was recovered enough from jet lag to get out of bed at the appointed time for the tour that morning, I was concerned that the tour would... More

We spent a half day with Jonnie in early August--and would have loved to do another day or two, but he was not available. His interpersonal manner, his knowledge of and passion for this city--history interwoven with personal stories made the day memorable and great fun. I'd definitely recommend booking a half-day early on during the trip for general orientation--and... More

Our family which included our 16 and 22 year old daughters took a 4 hour tour of the central London area starting in the Covent Garden encompassing including Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Parliament, Big Ben. While the weather wasn't perfect, Jonnie was. He's great fun and tunes the walk to suit your interests pointing out things you would have never... More

My wife and I just came back from London. We booked Jonnie for a 4 hour tour in the Westminster area of the city. Booking: Very easy via email to go over what we were interested in seeing, as well as suggesting ideas. He told us where to meet him and the time. Meeting: Jonnie was right on time exactly... More

So on an unexpected Sunday afternoon I joined Jonnie for one of his 3 hour excellent walks around Spittlefields and the area. I thought I knew the streets and places to go, but this was a real eye opener and an opportunity to see some places I never knew existed. Jonnie knows dates, names, origins, the side streets. He shared... More

We spent an extremely entertaining, amusing and informative afternoon with Jonnie on his tour of the East End. Jonnie has a wealth of information at his fingertips and his walk covered so many different topics that I wish I'd taken notes! An absolute must do. We are definitely going to try another of Jonnie's walks as soon as we can.

Jonnie was so knowledgable, laid-back, fun, and warm. A great tour guide who truly loves the city and can't wait to tell you all about it!

I've done two tours with Jonnie and been blown away both times. He knows so much about London and tells it in a way which is easy to understand. A really funny and friendly guy too. I would highly recommend taking one of his tours :)

We spent one day out with Jonnie as part of our staff day out. We have walked from Piccadilly Circus up to Trafalgar Square and ending in St. Paul's Cathedral. The tour has been fun, interesting and formative. I highly recommend Jonnie's tours to tourists as well as to Londoners.
