My experience with Bowl of Chalk was fantastic! Just a really great way to see the hidden gems of the City of London and avoid the tourist traps. Jonnie is incredibly knowledgeable and personable... it also doesn't hurt that he looks like the love-child of all the members of Coldplay. In all seriousness, though, my Bowl of Chalk walking tour... More

This walk is an excellent way to find out insider's knowledge about historic areas in the heart of London. Jonnie has been brilliant in showing us beautiful and historic places and in explaining insider's details about parts of the city's intersting and beautiful history. This walk, the places and the histories beatifully unfolded, transforms the way a Londoner views town.... More

first day in London with my wife and kids (11 and 8) and we took a great walking tour. Jonnie was super fun, smart and friendly, on top of being engaging and catering to our kids and keeping them interested. Highly recommend.

Its doesn't matter if your a local or this is the first time you've been to London - without a doubt you must do one of Jonnie's tours as manages to combine both - excellent local and historical knowledge with fun, interesting and quirky insider's knowledge. The best bit though is just how, funny, relaxed and easy going it was.... More

I wanted to do the tourist thing in London as I often do that in other cities but never have in the one place I often visit socially. Jonnie had great reviews and sounded different so gave him a go. And was I glad I did. Hubby and I did the St Paul's to Monument tour and, even though hubby... More

Jonnie was brilliant. He made the tour interesting and fun and all his background reading and personal experience meant that he had an encyclopaedic knowledge of the area. He made an effort to make things fun for the 2 teenagers as well and I think they really appreciated it. Thank you Jonnie. Liz and co

After trying to shake off the jet lag with a good night's sleep after just arriving in London, we met up at our hotel lobby at 10 am with Jonnie of Bowl of Chalk walking tours for a private tour. Jonnie was the perfect tour guide, showing us so many sites and giving us so much information during our four... More

I've been on three of Jonnie's walks over the past year or so, and he never ceases to amazes. He's always full of interesting and quirky facts. His tours are perfect for those who have never been to the city and those who have lived here for their entire lives.

Jonnie was great. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tour with him. Felt very special to have a private guide. He knows so much!! He is flexible and willing to listen to his customers and try and meet their needs. I very much recommend this tour.
