I've been to Urban Golf about 4 times, and have always enjoyed my experience. I've even been with people who have never played golf and they enjoy it too. The food and beer is a bit overpriced, but otherwise, the service and equiptment is top notch. Would recommend for client entertaining or for a fun arvo/evening with friends.

The Waspcake recently took his golfing tour to Urban Golf as part of a whistle stop boozy daytrip to London Town. It should be pointed out that at this point of the day all competitors were sober and of sound mind. A great day was had by all concerned. Service from staff was great. The simulators themselves were slightly disappointing.... More

I came here as part of a Christmas do, this was the activity before our dinner. I haven't done Urban Golf before and this was surprisingly fun. We went to the soho branch which is discreetly located on Great Pultney Street. It is reasonable value however drinks aren't cheap. Time flies and there is also a putting area. Recommend as... More

9 of us went to the Smithfield site on the off chance they had availability, The greeting was good and the booking sorted out quickly, beers delivered to the table nice a quick too, i'd say the only down side to our visit was the young lad explaining the simulator to us, i think he needs to learn the difference... 12 of us wanted something different to do in London. We found Urban Golf. A great afternoon, we were well looked after and the guys working were full of jovial banter. Certainly a well spent afternoon with friends.

We (7 of us) had a great afternoon playing 'Palm Springs' at Smithfield Urban Golf. Staff were all excellent and very helpful, simulator is very realistic and mimicked my usual slice off the tee (or as I like to call it 'a controlled fade' ) perfectly...Bar was a bonus and helped improved our swings over the two hours and beer... I made a credit card booking last week for a birthday. I rang today (one day prior to the night) and was told that there had been a double booking! Apparently they had tried to contact me via email and phone, however there is evidence of this from my end. It is now fully booked so I suspect they've simply... More

Hi Ian I'm really sorry to hear you had this experience. It is definitely not our policy to cancel bookings in favour of large events. If you could email your contact details to david.ford@urbangolf.co.uk we can look in to this matter for you. Best wishes Sophie More

Urban Golf is a great way to spend an evening with friends. You need to book in advance to get one of the Golf booths. When you arrive it's all very swish, the staff talk you through the controls and even set up the handicaps etc to allow for a nice even game enjoyable to all abilities (great for me... More

I booked for a different experience as part of an Xmas night out... Had great fun and will suit anyone of any ability....we had a lady who hadn't picked up a club before and she enjoyed the whole experience. We played at the Soho urban golf and the only negative was that it looked a bit tired inside and needs... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
