I flew into London City Airport for the first time last week and it was a great experience. Less than 5 minutes to get from the arrivals hall and onto the railway for an easy trip into Tower Gateway. Great value at £4.70 (single). Also a great way to see the sights of this part of London and certainly more... More

In as much as anyone at DLR or TFL is interested given that passengers have no say on prices or anything else to do with the service, I have been made late for work because of a change to services between 3 and 7 November. I found this information on a poorly placed poster in Canary Wharf station. Thank you... More

My family and I used the DLR between Prince Regent and Tower Gateway during our stay between 27 - 31 October. It has be one of the best public transports systems in Britain! Clean, efficient and user friendly, this very regular service was highly reliable and had great connections with tube services. The staff on platforms and on the trains... More

I love the Docklands Light Railway, it's such fun, the scenery is lovely, it's worth a ride even if you only go and come back straight away! It gives you a comfortable view of parts of the City, you see different landmarks going out and on the return. If you are going somewhere it's a relaxed mode of travel, if... More

Its been around since 1987 but the Docklands Light Railway has had a number of extensions and improvements over the years, and an equal number of schemes put back for future development. Mostly overhead lines (as opposed to subterranean lines), this is an impressive system delivering people into and out of the Docklands / Canary Wharf area and the City... More

We had a underground pass for the day so decided to take a ride on the DLR. I'm certainly glad we did as it's a part of London I haven't seen. The trains are not at all crowded unlike the usual underground trains. I will definitely go again.

It's quite a surreal experience. Sat right at the front of the train with no driver can be quite scary to begin with, certainly was for me, but once you get distracted by the sights overground you forget anything about not having a driver. Trains are quick and efficient and overall much cleaner than the standard tube.

We really enjoyed our ride on the DLR and it did seem like a "ride" from a fair ground too.....as we were able to sit right on the front and could see really well the track in front and when it curves around and on a slight tilt it is quite fun even for us adults. The train was clean... More

My great grand daughter & I visited London last weekend, staying in the London Docklands area. We found this service to be fast & reliable, (even if we did get lost at Canary Wharf). It is an excellent mode of transport & we had great fun using it, pretending we were driving.

Excellent service as expected from London. Clean and easy to use just like the underground. Always on time and if any out of service it will be announced online and at stations. Very reliable service.
