Used the Docklands Light Railway whilst on a whirlwind tour of London. The DLR is 25 miles (40 km) long, with 45 stations. There are six branches: to Lewisham in the south, Stratford and Stratford International in the north, Beckton and Woolwich Arsenal in the east, and Central London in the west, splitting to Bank and Tower Gateway This is... DLR need to spend more time deep cleaning the DLR service, loads of grime is visible. Services are not so bad but they should have more carriages on the lines

The DLR was the nearest station to our Hotel during a London stay. It offers a great service - clean trains, on time, very little crowding (obviously busier at rush hour). It's nice to see the City from over ground instead of always whizzing around underground too. We took a ride out to Stratford which was great - you can... More

We used the DLR to go from Greenwich back to a London tube station, and were thrilled to have done so! It is an amazing experience to travel through all the old and new neighborhoods of London - a totally different look!

Always on time. Amazing sightseeing over docklands :) and yes, fully automated line.no driver. You have staff operating inside. Very helpful.

I took this to Greenwich and Canary wharf and would strongly recommend taking it. The metro is new and goes above ground which allows you to have a sneak peak of the offices in CW. Take the metro in Bank and then just enjoy the views.

We were staying in Stratford near the DLR station so it was a fast and convenient train into the city. with our Oyster cards it was easy to get around and connect with an Underground station. If you have a problem (we did) then there is always a DLR employee on the train. It was very hot when we visited... More

Eventhough DLR doesn't cover a whole London but it is the most comfortable public transport in London. It has more space than Tube, faster schedule than Overground and Dockland area tour, since it;s not underground. I'd always love to sit in the most front cause I feel like a the roller coaster for kids.

Though our overall DLR experience was very good, the Canary Wharf stations have next to no signs. We spotted one arrow pointing us in a general direction to transfer from the Tube to the DLR, on our way towards the direction we thought we should be going, we met another befuddled tourist trying to find the Canary Wharf DLR station.... Very good service but a bit of a safety concern with no driver although it has been deemed safe but if you want a drivers eye view of the tracks ahead it's the best in the business
