Arrived at venue, car park entrance not very well signposted. Car park poorly lit, full of potholes. We had never been here before and had trackside package. This was good value at £10 pp which included entry, race card, burger, drink, £2 tote bet and £6 return voucher. However, the night deteriorated from there. We went trackside, no seating available... What an experience, get up close to the dog and banger car racing. A fun night out with the boys, very average food and awful beer but I guess that's what makes the experience. Can bet on the dogs but not the cars, some interesting characters about. Better get in there soon before they redevelop the site into a football... More

I enjoy greyhound racing and have been to several tracks, but Wimbledon is by far the worst. Very, very run down stadium, both inside and out...to compound matters my friend backed a dog that won and was priced at 8/1 when race went off...he was paid out at 7/2 ...I had the forecast in the same race ...an 8/1 and... Firstly the staff were very busy in the restaurant and it was very hot but our waitresses worked hard and were very helpful - food quite good but £27 for 3 course pub food was pretty steep The biggest problem was the races promoted as child friendly - under 2 free - kids menu - lovely baby change room but... Went to the dog racing Saturday evening. Excellent overall, but spoiled a bit by the miserable faces and unhelpful attitude of the ladies behind the tote betting desk. What on earth is wrong with them? It costs absolutely nothing to be nice to people and has the spin off benefit of making your own life nicer as well! Come on... More

Came for 3rd round of the derby in the granstand restaurant. Good night overall and friendly tote and raffle staff who were helpful. Some food was very good particularly the mushroom crumble and seabass. However the burger had too much onion (almost a chutney) and the chicken needed a salsa. It was very busy but the waiting staff could have... More

I recently had the chance to go and see banger (scrap car) racing at Wimbledon Dog track in South West London. As the name suggests its actually a dog racing stadium but on Sundays a banger racing is held at the stadium which is converted into a race track. Tickets for adults cost £14 and £6 for children up to... More

upon entering the dreary car park, expectations are not high, but that should not put you off. this track does need an investment to bring it up date, but that does not detract from how pleasant and helpful all the staff are, especially the security girl in the restaurant who is a fantastic ambassador for the stadium, and the boy... Visited for the first time in quite a while and had a disappointing evening. Only 1 side of the stadium is open and is a very tight grandstand, with not a lot of betting facilities and limited bar area. Viewing is ok, but there are no big screens, just scattered portable size monitors with hazy pictures. Venue was cold, lacked... More

As another recent reviewer said, I was a little unsure what to expect going in based on some of the negative reviews but we were going regardless, as part of a 10 person work group. In the end my girlfriend and I really had a good time, each won a little bit (one was 46 pounds on a 2 pounds... More
