Other famous productions at the Adelphi Theatre include Gertrude Lawrence in Cole Porter’s Nymph Errant, Ivor Novello’s The Dancing Years, Bless The Bride, Beatrice Lillie as Auntie Mame, Van Johnson in The Music Man, Lionel Bart’s Blitz! and Maggie May, Charlie Girl with Anna Neagle, a revival of Me and My Girl originally starring Robert Lindsay and Emma Thompson and in the Adelphi Theatre’s longest run (over nine years), the new Broadway production of Kander and Ebb’s Chicago. Revivals of Evita and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat have proved enormously popular. More recently, the theatre played host to the worldwide premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Love Never Dies. « less

The Body Guard with Alexandra Burke was an unexpected treat. Her voice is phenomena. No, she's not Whitney, but she does her proud. The staging was fast paced and exciting, from start to incredible ending. I went with my adult daughter, who is a Whitney fanatic. She was pleased at the treatment of the songs and gave it a thumbs-up.... More

Nice theatre, helpful staff, very warm though. If you have the chance to see Alexandra Burke before you go do it, she is amazing !

Loved the film and loved this show. Tristan Gemmill is an excellent Frank, you really believed his character and professionalism. We saw the understudy, not Alexandra, still very good though and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Nice theatre, but the toilets in the main entrance could do with up dating and like all theatres - always need more ladies.

A nice, but slightly dated theatre and without a sign of mice for us ! The Bodyguard was a fantastic experience with a mix of great singing, dancing, acting and well placed humour. The whole cast was flawless as was the stage set and how they flowed from one scene to another seemed effortless, but I can imagine the work... More

I have seen many wonderful shows, both musical and straight drama in the West End, but I have not yet seen anything to come up to The Bodyguard. I didn't rate the film, but the stage show is excellent. The Adelphi is a great theater and the technical staff are so clever. I am so sorry I missed the mice.... More

Mice, I can't believe there were mice running around the theatre, they were noticed at the interval , lots of people out of seats shouting but no staff to be seen. This spoiled the second half of show for me and to think we travelled from Newcastle to see it Cast were excellent and Alexandra Bourke fabulous

Cannot believe in one of the top London theatres you have vermin running around, brushing your feet whilst you are trying to watch a show. Absolutely appalled, nobody wants to dress up to have this type of thing happen to them. Staff were not interested, and for me this spoilt the night. Disgusting and disgraceful.

Have seen the show many times but I have to compare all the leading ladies.Alexandra burke was just of the planet. I am not a big fan so went and got one of her albums which did not impress me that much.I thought Beverly Knight was amazing But Alex, you blew me away last night I had mixed feelings entering... I didn't think I would like this show, even though I had never seen the movie, but I was pleasantly surprised. The leads were very good.
