I thought the book was great and was a little apprehensive to watch this on stage but boy was I proved wrong! It was a most amazing transportation to the battle field. I sometimes forget that the 'Horses' were puppets! Worth every penny spent.

Yes it's true, at the start I noticed the puppeteers, but within minutes they faded into the background as the horse took on its own identity. I'm used to musicals and wasn't sure how I'd cope with a more intense play, but this was very engaging. They had text description at the side of the stage and even though I... More

We are from NY where we get to see great theater often. War Horse did not disappoint. We had fabulous seats in a wonderful theater. The actors did a fantastic job. Bring tissues if you go! Also, the NY theater seating is tight as they try to pack as many people in as possible. This theater was very spacious. We... More

Did not think I would like a 'puppet show' but it was so real and absorbing. Fantastic and would recommend as a MUST SEE!

This is a must see show, absolutely fantastic. I bought the tickets mainly with my partner in mind as I wrongly thought it was about war. How wrong I was, I don't want to give too much away regarding the story, only to say you soon forget they are not real horses.

yup, it's quite interesting that they made the characters as well done big wooden puppets and people who were controlling and sound effecting them were very good also, but story is, im sorry but kinda dull, unnecessarily long, not the best show I've seen for sure.

This is one of the National Theatre's treasures and the use of the puppet's brings the horse element to life - it really is a MUST see show

One of the better plays in London, it is a moving story and when you come to think I think the fact that it looks simple is down to the hard work from the team that are making this happen. The seating was well organised and the team at the theatre was very plesant.

We went here with my sister and her boyfriend when they came to visit from overseas. Honestly we chose this one because it was the best priced, and didn't know much about it at all. But WOW what a great choice! We didn't have the best seats - right up in front nearly under the stage - but it was... More
