This is something that will amaze you and give you a memory that will stay with you for life (just like the original 'Hair' musical of the 60s). Young or old makes no difference, the astonishing puppetry will convince you they have sneaked real horses on stage! IT HAS TO BE SEEN TO BE BELIEVED.

I decided to go to War Horse as one of the last things to do while still living in London, and im so glad that I did. The way they brought the story to life, the puppets, sound effects, backdrops etc can not be faulted. Absolutely spectacular and just so well done. The story itself if quite coincidental, which previous... More

I saw this play before the film was released and I am so glad I did and I try to convince everybody else to do the same. Although the film is good, the play is excellent and it would be a real spoiler watching the film first. Seen the play twice and because the theatre has been designed with the... More

Well performed you could not thought the cast just weren't my cup of tea when it came to the story line which was a bit to coincidental and came across very unrealistic/unbelievable, parts of the story could have been cut as it seemed very pointless and would not have had any effect on the story and this caused it to... I'm usually a musicals-only kind of person, but went to war horse on the strength of recommendations. What a great story that sucks you in straight away. It was a bit of an emotional roller coaster and left me feeling quite stunned afterwards. My only complaint was that the actors do rather have to shout everything as they don't appear... More

Very moving play and in total admiration about the techniques used to make the horses come "alive". Impressive!

There are many different shows to choose from when you visit London .However, War Horse has everything - drama, pathos, special effects, music and even a touch of humour. We were totally enthralled with the whole performance and drawn into the poignant storyline. The horse 'puppets' (although to call them that seems a bit insulting!) come alive and are fascinating... A great story told through a medium involving life size puppets. The horses were totally believable and the stage and lighting made the whole production incredibly atmospheric. Highly recommended.
