i have seen both the show in London and the subsequent movie. both were excellent The show is unique and the movie was thoroughly enjoyable with beautiful scenery. If you can see both and if you are in London see the show which is by far one of the better offerings in the West End at the moment

I bought tickets for my husbands birthday and we were not disappointed. The show is fab and I would recommend you go and see it. All the performances were great and you really do get drawn in...you don't see the people !!

I went to see The War Horse on a very last-minute decision (I bought the ticket half an hour before the show) - I am very glad I did that. I have not read the book, nor seen the film before seeing the play. Story was very catching and the amazing puppetry and good acting helped to get fully immersed... More

We spent ages deciding which show to see and were so pleased we chose War Horse. It was so clever and entertaining. The whole family enjoyed it including our 13 and 16 year old boys! My husband thought that parts of the story were cut short but I expect that was to keep the play running time shorter. I haven't... More

Was it just me or........ Did you get mixed up in some parts as to who was who? Were certain important things just not clear enough to the audience? Was it "dull"? - costumes all the same colour and drab, a bare stage etc Did you think that the boy's relationship with the horse was borderline unnatural? Did you wonder... More

Nice to see the play is still going strong. I read the book years ago. The play kinda delivers in places but its really quite dull and the acting was definitely dodgy in places. I was more transfixed by the amazing puppetry of the horse than the story, which isn't a good sign I guess. Worth seeing, but not mind... More

An amazing experience and so cleverly done. Well worth a visit. A lovely story but the brilliance lies with the "horses" and their operators who have got it to a tee

Towards the end I turned to my my wife and said"Why are you crying.....it's nt real", next thing I found myself crying and seeing a lot of the audiance with there tissues. Thats how good it... More

Saw War horse yesterday its fantastic, but so moving. The horses come alive, even making the sound of the hooves is authentic. Must not forget the other puppets as well ie the goose & Crows, all so realistic they come alive. Joey is the star of the show. Not suitable for children under 14 i would suggest , because of... I was bought tickets as a birthday present for war horse. I was totally blown away by the performance. I totally forgot the horses were puppets. How incredibly clever and so emotional. What talent from everyone especially the horses. Absolutely brilliant.
