Such a great show, adds so much diversity to the theater scene. The props used to recreate the horses are so incredibly well done. You would virtually think those horses are real, even IF they are mere 'skeletons'. So much emotion and passion in this show, very very well done.

I always fall asleep in theatres, see it as my expensive nap time, yet this one kept me engaged and actually emotionally involved throughout the whole performance! Great puppetry and really enjoyable, best theatre I've ever experienced. Even better than TV! Highly recommend.

This National Theatre's production of War Horse is in my opinion one of the most brilliant pieces of theatre ever conceived. When film Director Stephen Spielberg described thoroughly believing the puppet of Joey was a real horse in the first 3 minutes of the show, I felt I had to go and see it. It took me nearly a year... We had read the book a few years ago as a family and we own the movie so I decided to take my 12 yr old son to see this. I bought tickets online before leaving for London. It was easy to pick them up at the theatre and no wait. We were in row H in the stalls. Fantastic... More

My hubby and I went to this show for my birthday. It wasn't what I expected! The show was great and we did enjoy it. The horses were huge 'puppets' operated by people inside manoeuvring them around the stage. Amazing. Well worth a visit.

We loved it! The life sized puppets we're so real that you forgot it wasn't real horses in the first 5 minutes. The production was wonderful and seeing it in London made it perfect!

We had cheap tickets in the very back row, and they were wonderful. The show was outstanding. It was a bit difficult to hear the words of the songs, but the puppetry was amazing.

I laughed, I cried, and I cried some more. This show was beyond amazing. There aren't words to describe the artistry that is War Horse. What amazing and powerful script that truly conveys fighting for love. The puppets are unlike anything I've seen on a stage before. I came into the show fairly blind about how the tech was going... A riveting emotional piece of theatre. You will totally forget that the horses are puppets, especially if you do not sit right at the front. Seats further back are definitely to be recommended in order that you get the full effect of not only the horses but battle scenes too. I love the fact that neither the french or German... More
