Truly by dumb luck we saw this show on the 100th Anniversary of WW1 - simply SPECTACULAR show. Good for children as young as 12 I'd say. Energy of the puppeteers makes the show.

This show was incredibly well produced! The motions and body language of the horses was extremely realistic! After a short while you forgot about the people making the horses go! The staging was simple but creative and effective. I sternly recommend seeing this show! Be forewarned that there are a lot of stairs to get to your seats.

One of the cleverest pieces of stage craft you will ever see. The story is lovely and absorbing, they recreate the war scenes very well, but the utter magic is the horses... you literally can't take your eyes of them!

This live show is a must see for visitors to London, although they are also touring it seems. A packed house - had been a bit concerned that our seats in the second row (in the orchestra pit really) may not have been a good location, but not so. We probably saw and heard parts that others further back may... More

We went to see this in Manchester now that the show is travelling and we thoroughly enjoyed the production. The way in which they have chosen to depict the book is spot on and the engineering and acting to draw you towards the horses and their emotions is just great. This is an emotionally heavy play and story line with... More

This show is mesmerizing in my view. The story completely takes over and you forget the horses are no real. It is powerful, but the story of the time reflects this. I agree with other reviewers, it is not for children under 11 (I am a primary teacher too). I cannot believe how hard the cast must work to bring... More

Amazing show. Went with a friend and our eldest children (aged 8) and we all loved it. The children did not speak the whole way through. The skills of the puppet masters was truly brilliant. So moving and shed a few bucket loads of tears! Well worth the visit and the cost.

Wow, such an amazing theatre experience, out of this world! The actors are superb. I can't wait to go again, I had the hankies out from the start of scene 1, act 1!

The storyline is heartwarming and dramatic with tense and extraordinary pathos. The characters, including the horse puppet are subtle and engaging and the action sequences are well choreographed. Far getter than the contrived Hollywood feeling created by the movie. Well worth going to for any age.
