I took my sons and my brother to see War Horse on our vacation in London. What a fantastic production. It was ever better than the production in NYC. The theater (New London Theater) is intimate and so there are no bad seats in the house. We went on a Tuesday night and there were empty seats in the balcony.... More

I've been to the West End a few times but never have I felt as if I was actually a part of what was happening on stage. Really moving performance from all and the standing ovation at the end was completely justified. Well worth the price and I'd recommend to everyone!

We are surprised at the positive reviews for this show. As far as were were concerned it was a dismal load of rubbish. Billed as being filled with stirring songs and tunes, we can only ask where people are coming from. The diction was terrible and the acting was appalling. The only good thing about it was the puppetry, and... More

I went to this show not sure what to expect. I loved it and I cried when the horse died. I took my 12 year old who likes a bit of blood and he totally enjoyed it to. Go open minded as the book is told from the horses point and the play the humans. Nevertheless a great night out.

This is such a powerful production. The Vorticist inspired stage set was stunning. The sound made the whole experience reverberate throughout one's body . Every sense was alive, the fragile beauty of the horses in juxta position to the brutality of the tank brought home the terrible futility of a war in the early twentieth century fought with both traditional... In tears for the whole show. My 17 yo daughter an I loved the book, loved the film so the show was a must. We weren't disappointed. You quickly forget the puppeteers and feel you are looking at real horses. The simplicity of the back drop, with no major scene changes makes this the cleverest show I've seen. The experience... I hadn't read the book or seen the movie but it is a simple enough story told very very well The way they bring the mechanical horses to life in a treat - from early on your really consider them to be alive Some French and some German dialog but it works well without needing to understand each word

I thought that this theatre was just amazing and was full of feeling! It was very dramatic and it is only really interesting for people that can really understand it. I think it is an amazing place to go with your Family.

Watched the film, enjoyed that. Went to the play and it was great. Normally not a big fan of the theatre but was intrigued by this one... Recommended.
